In chapter 5 we studied learning which is the process “that produces a relatively enduring change in behavior or knowledge as a result of past experience”, being able to learn from observation and experience is essential to adaption and survival for any species. In this chapter we reviewed the three primary scientific thoughts on conditioning classical, operant and observational. Classical conditioning is the process of learning from stimuli. Operant conditioning occurs from associating behavior and consequence both emphasize the role of direct experiences in learning and reinforcement. Observational learning believes that learning takes place indirectly by observing and imitating the actions of others.
