1. One of the first assignments was to take a number of personality and career related tests. Consider some of these questions as you a paragraph about these tests. What did the test tell you? Are the results accurate? What personality are you? What learning style is best for you? Have these tests made you look at your career choices differently? Knowing the most that you can about yourself is something that can truly help you improve the way you live. The test we took asked many seemingly basic questions. They seemed relatively abstract, but made sense upon further examination. Many of the questions ask you about your tendencies as a person, such as if you like to be at parties or reading a book. Then, you get grouped into a category based on these tendencies. I received INTJ-T. This personality type is know for being people who use logic to find answers to problems, despite the possibility of harming others in the way. I found my results to be incredibly accurate, and I found nothing that contradicted the way I am. All of these traits lined up with what my preferred careers required as well, leading to a feeling of great satisfaction. This included being a lawyer and an industrial-organizational psychologist, both of which I was already interested in. My learning style is auditory, which aligns with my …show more content…
Simply put, a hard skill is whether or not you can do the basics of what a job requires. A hard skill would include "Can you operate this piece of machinery?" or "Can you program this into the website?" to name some. Soft skills are typically more based on who you are as a person, and what your work ethic is. This includes if you can work together with others to complete a goal, consistently finish work on time, arrive to work on time, and are willing to do extra work if it isn't required of you. In total, hard skills are what you need to do a job, and soft skills are what you need to do that job
