I learned a lot about the Apollo Missions while researching. First being Kennedy had a huge dream of having the first man on the moon. It was almost a race between the Russians and us. In the book, Apollo Moon Missions: The Unsung Heroes it says, “ It was the end result of a dream and a challenge issued to Congress by President Kennedy in May 1961 of landing a man on the moon by the end of the decade and returning him safely to earth.” I learned how many failures and problems there were. I think a lot of people when they hear about the Apollo Mission they think of the successful landing on the moon. But there were many problems that came with the mission. I think many people doubted whether it could happen or not but it was a dream of Kennedy's.
