Apolo

...Worldview is just as it sounds. It is how Christians view the world around us. Although, the real definition for it is a particular philosophy of life or conception of the world. The question of origin is “where did we come from”. The answer to that is God created Adam then created Eve from Adam to produce life. There are many verses in the Bible on origin however I can only give two examples. My first example is 2 Chronicles 24:13 the second verse to go along with origin would be of course Genesis 2:4-25. The next would be the question of identity. The Bible answers the question “what does it mean to be human” by stating that men were created in God’s image. The two verses that support that would be Genesis 1:26-28 and Psalms 8:5. The meaning is “why do I exist”. The purpose of life is to walk and dwell amongst the Lord our God. The two verses I chose to go with this are 2 Corinthians 1:4 and Romans 15:13. The question of Morality is doing what god wants us to do and using the Bible as our sword. Its about living for god. Genesis 3 and Exodus 20:6 are the verses I chose to go with morality. The question of destiny “is there life after death, where will I go when I die”. We as Christians believe that if we follow God and serve him without sin we will go to Heaven but if we chose not to follow him and to commit sins we will go to Hell where there you will spend eternity without...

Apolo 13

..."A 'successful failure' describes exactly what 13 was - because it was a failure in its initial mission -- nothing had really been accomplished," Lovell, the commander of Apollo 13 told Reuters Television in an exclusive interview. But he claimed the mission, which had taken hold the world in April 1970, as "a great success in the ability of people to take an almost certain catastrophe and turn it into a successful recovery." At the time of the oxygen-tank explosion two days into the mission, Lovell, Haise and fellow astronaut Jack Swigert were not fully aware of the seriousness of their situation. "Well, when the explosion occurred and we sort of found out and assessed on our own that we weren't going to land on the moon, the first thoughts were one of disappointment," said Lovell. "We didn't realize the significance or the danger." But soon Lovell realized that so much of the spacecraft was totally useless and he spoke to mission control at the Johnson Space Center in Texas those now-famous words: "Houston, we've had a problem." "The two fuel cells, or the three fuel cells, failed," Lovell said. "The two oxygen tanks failed. We lost communication. We lost the use of our computer for a while. And consequently we had never really practiced for that." For five days, the crew of Apollo 13 and mission specialists on the ground dealt with problem upon problem, shorting of food and water, dealing with a loss of heat and even using the Lunar Module as a so-called "life boat"...

Sun Case

...Khosla have a real chance at changing Computervision’s decision? Does Sun have a better product? Can Sun be regarded as a reliable longterm vendor? If I understand well the case there is many obstacles for Sun to be chose by Computervision such as: * The fact that the company is quite new and Sun don’t have the reputation of Apolo * There is also the problem that Apalo has the industry standard and the good amount of employees when Sun has only “40 person” as said in the phone call from the president. * And the sun product is seen as incomplete. So if we stay on those elements, Vinod Khosla don’t really has chance to change the decision of Computervision. But if we look more in detail, there is also argument in favor of Sun: * The advantage of Sun is that they have an open product which can be modified by the user, this is the reason why in the case the software developers are attracted by their product. It also mean that the product will be a part of the improvement of computer technology and may grow with it while the product of Apolo for example is nonstandard so it is not flexible as the Sun machine. * The price of the Apolo product is also higher so for the long run benefit, the Sun computer may be more interesting because more competitive. * The Sun machine is already adopted by university which mean that the product is viable and well appreciate * Moreover, in the phone call of the president, it is mentioned that the number of employees...
