Missed Appt

...Article 86 of the Uniform Code Of Military Justice. This Article covers Point and Place of Duty. That means from PT formation to COB that is where you will be. What a lot of Soldiers do not understand that includes appointments made by them or someone else. We have appointment times, SP times, formation times and many other start times that dictate we will be there. If a Convoy has an SP time of fifteen hundred hours and the Soldiers decide to show up late because they did not feel like getting ready on time people could die. If they rolled out on time, they may have avoided the ambush or avoided the Vbid that hit them in the bottleneck. It sounds extreme but time management plays a critical role in the Army. When you make an appointment that spot has been reserved for you. That means if you have been given the last slot someone else is going to have to wait for another one to open up. This could be one day or one month. And because you missed it someone else is still going to have to wait when they could have had that spot and been there. If you are going to miss the appointment or cannot make it due to mission they do allow us to cancel the appointment with in twenty four hours. The Army allows us to make appointments for whatever we need. Be it for a medical appointment, house goods, CIF, Smoking Sensation or whatever we need these recourses are available to us. But when Soldiers start missing appointments theses systems start to become inefficient. What a lot of Soldiers do...

When you lived in yarmouth and Brewster I would go all the way there and take you for your dr. appt in Brockton and then to New Bedford to get your pills and then back home again. Every month. Lent you money for pills and you still owe me 1,200 from that. Took three trips to Maine to get David so you could see him and spend time with him. Went and got Jake. took You and Monica there after her mother died. Never got anything for gas. 8 hours up and 8 hours back. I take David for all his doctor appts. Took him for his braces and all the appt for the adjustment. Took him to get his wisdom teeth pulled. I located your motorcycle and got it back here for you and paid 225.00 for that and I have never got a dime from that and you sold it and never gave me any money. Social Justice

...My understanding of social justice is that it is society’s responsibility to ensure that everyone has equal access to public services, healthcare, and quality of life. Inequalities come in many forms. Some people are poorer, less well educated, and live shorter and less healthy lives than others, etc. It is well known that wealthier people are on average healthier than poorer people. Why then is that a wealthy country like the United States is not healthier than some poorer countries? Access to care is the answer, equality to that access, regardless of ethnicity, geography, economic status, or educational level. Powers and Faden’s (2008) view is that social justice, while developed for the specific contexts of public health and health policy, also applies equally well to other realms of social policy, including education and economic development. Madison Powers and Ruth Faden argue that our institutions must provide a sufficient level of six basic dimensions of human well-being, for every individual 1) a healthy life and life span (relative to the wealth and technological capability of the society) 2) personal security against violence 3) the respect of self and others 4) the ability to form and to benefit from attachments to others, particularly in childhood 5) autonomy with respect to decisions affecting one's own future 6) and a healthy amount of reasoning abilities. They felt that our institutions must prioritize the health and overall well-being of children when forced...

The ease of getting a convenient appointment is could be inhibited by the doctor’s busy and unpredicted schedules and also the lack of communication between receptionists and secretaries. The difficulty getting through on the phone is caused by a heavy load on the receptionists and the fact that they cannot relay messages to secretaries without adequate phone coverage which also ties...

Cell Phoness

...Lexi Davis 5th hour 4/6/10 Cell Phones “BUZZ, BUZZ!” You feel the vibration of your phone is class, you wonder who it may be and would like to answer it, but unfortunately there are no cell phones allowed in school. So while you’re still sitting in class you try to take a sneak peak at who was trying to reach you, but right after you do that, the teacher is right next to you holding out his/her hand. And you’re thinking, “I wonder what mom wanted?” See, now that could have been an emergency but since we cannot have our phones, I will never know. But if we could, then I would be able to know and not have to freak out about whether or not something is wrong or not. Or if I had an appt. and it changed, I wouldn’t know because my teacher took my phone. I believe that it wouldn’t be such a harm to be able to use them in: study hall, lunch, homeroom or in-between classes, because those really are not actual classes that we need to pay attention in. We for surely would not be disrupting any class time, and allowing us to have them would make it less likely for the students to break the rules by using them without permission. So, let’s say I have to get a hold of my mother or father during school hours and we can’t use our phones during school and the school phone doesn’t call long distance, then what? It’s a perfect time to be able to use our cell phones. Instead of having the school tell you, “Then maybe you should buy a calling card!”, when you have a perfectly fine...

She is not ready for children yet, but wants to explore birth control options now that she is monogamous. Explain Betty’s options. Now Betty presents to the clinic in tears.
