Grandma's Iron Skillet Apple Pie Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 55 minutes Total Time: 70 minutes Serves: INGREDIENTS ● 1/2 c butter ● 1 c brown sugar ● 5 apples, thinly sliced -- peeled, cored, quartered ● 3 (9 “) refrigerated pre-rolled pie crusts ● 1 c white sugar, divided ● 2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided ● 1/4 c white sugar ● 1 tsp butter, cut into chunks INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. In a cast iron skillet, add half cup of butter and melt. 3. Remove the cast iron skillet and sprinkle the brown sugar, then return to the oven. 4. Remove the cast iron and put the pie crust over brown sugar.
