Sensors use a signal of some sort, from the environment and convert it to readable form for purpose of information transfer. Each sensor node has multiple modalities for sensing the environment such as acoustic, seismic, light, temperature, etc. However, each sensor can sense only one modality at a time. The sensor nodes in the target tracking WSN use collaboration with the neighboring nodes.
