Chikatilo reportedly murdered 53 people and it wasn’t until his second murder that he found his taste for blood. The victim was 17 years old and was used to dating soldiers and swapping sexual favors for meals and a few drinks. He strangled her when she screamed and then he told police that he later “danced with joy” (Biography.com Editors). As I mentioned above his first sexual encounter was when he overpowered a younger girl and ejaculated. It was at this moment that Chikatilo began to feel that the only way around his sexual dysfunction. Violence brought him pleasure and he began to desire more victims in order to have more of those experiences.
