The Turkey Trot has become a tradition that the YMCA has created for people to donate to YMCA children's services and programs. These programs and services have helped many struggling families during the holidays and summers. Food items are sent to the Food Bank of Western New York, where thousands of meals are distributed to families in the local and somewhat more distant parts of the state.
