Ariana Grande is a twenty-two year old american pop singer who hales from Boca Raton, Florida. Grande who was once a child star on Broadway and Nickelodeon graduated to International pop start. With her roles on the Nickelodeon she was able to begin building a fan bases of followers which was extremely useful as her career began to grow. “Her first hit single 'The Way (feat. Mac Miller)' instantly became no. 1 after 7 hours of its release on March 26th, 2013. She released her second single 'Baby I' on July 22, 2013 and her album 'Yours Truly' on September 3rd 2013, which became no. 1 on Billboard.” http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3812858/ The release of her album My Everything is where she found her unique sound and gave her a second number-one …show more content…
The increased speculation is what lead to the second video apology which went out via Youtube. In which she employed new strategies. She recognizes right away that her first apology was not effective which was smart. Instead of digging a deeper hole she starts to spin the story in her favor by stating “I kind of missed my opportunity to sincerely apologize and express how I was feeling, because I was too busy preaching about my issues with the food industry. Which is not… I feel…relative.” The next strategy she uses is minimization and carries an attitude of this will be yesterday news. “I’d rather just apologize, and I feel like now’s my chance, before the whole thing blows over.” In this video she uses a ton of Mortification I still have doubts on how genuine it was. The realest part in my opinion was when she stated "Seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly, that you have no idea was taken, is such a rude awakening, that you don't know what to do -- I was so disgusted with myself.” While I do believe that statement is true I think it is more of apology where I am sorry I got caught but maybe I am not sincerely sorry for what I said. Other celebrities were also mad and turned to social media to voice their opinions. Rob Lowe for example and made the connection to her and the Dixie Chicks. The fact that she had a huge social media presences and chose Youtube as her format was an incredible advantage to reach her key audience. The video was seen as sincere and fans started using the hashtag #WeForgiveYouAriana to show their support for Grande. Also the support of her brother Frankie Grande helped her image when took to Twitter on July 9 and stated, “U made a mistake & r being JUDGED very HARSHLY for it but ur doing the right thing in the face of it & I’m so proud.” He also tweeted, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.

Rhetorical Analysis On T Mobile Phones

...Go Grande with T-mobile T-mobile was founded about twenty years ago in Bonn, Germany. Since then, T-mobile has grown to be one of the top competitors in the U.S. Phone companies have had an enormous impact on the society because technology is growing at an unbelievable rate. Thanks to that, the amount of people using phones has increased immensely creating a huge competition between hundreds of cell phone providers. T-mobile is currently sitting in the third spot of best cell phone providers this year. Day by day, the competition increases and they will do anything in their power to be the top cell phone company. Although there are thousands of great phone companies, I argue that the advertisement effectively convinces the audience to make the right choice and purchase with T-mobile through it’s use of targeted audience, logos, and ethos. Hesmondhalgh's Why Music Matters

...many genres of music and lots of different live performances. I have always enjoyed going to concerts ever since I was 10 and my mother took me to the Hilary Duff concert. Some say I am insane since I like to attend at least 5 concerts a year, but there is something about the atmosphere at a concert that entices me to continue to return. This past month I attended the Ariana Grande concert with two of my closest friends and this is the concert that I am going to analyze. There are three distinct points that Hesmondhalgh outlines in his book Why Music Matters. He talks about music creating status, the function of music evoking emotion and the capacity of dance that music embodies and these...
