Attitudes
The way someone grows up to be depends on their surrounding and their environment or their personal experiences, personality plays a critical role in attitude formation, an attitude is a relatively enduring organization of beliefs an feelings towards socially significant object, groups, events or symbols there are three main components of attitudes once is the affective component that involves a person’s feelings and emotions about the attitude of the object for example is someone was like “I’m scared of snakes” then we have the behavioral components this is the way the attitude influences how we act or behave an example would be “ I will avoid snakes and die if I see one” and lastly we have the cognitive component that involves a person’s belief and to their knowledge about the attitude of the object like if you were to say “ I believe snakes are evil”. One of the assumptions about the link between attitudes and behavior is that we often expect the behavior of a person to be consistent with the attitude they have it is called the principle of consistency which is the idea that says people are rational and tend to behave rationally all the time that usually a person is consistent with that attitude while it does sound reasonable it isn’t always the case because people don’t usually stay consistent with their attitude because by human nature we behave illogically and don’t always make the right decisions.
Attitude is definitely a good prediction of behavior basically the stronger the attitude the better the behavior is affected, people are more know more about topics that interest them and would most likely have a positive or negative attitude because of it the attitude of a person is strongly held than attitudes that happen indirectly mostly through the media of today many people adapt to that kind of attitude because it
