Jeg kommer med en analyse af romanen, herefter tager jeg de to hovedkarakterer Ida og Karl, definerer deres forhold, fremligger hvad der er galt og hvorfor det er galt. Herigennem kan jeg komme frem til Herman Bangs budskab med teksten. Derefter ser jeg på romanen i forhold til resten af hans forfatterskab. Romanen er af skønlitterær art, skrevet i 1896 af Herman Bang. Romanen bærer nogle af de daværende stiltræk, der gik gennem landet under det moderne gennembrud. Men det er uden tvivl impressionismen, som Bang er mest kendt for og også i denne historie trænger impressionismen igennem. Af Herman Bang vil man altid forvente en kritik, og især det faktum, at hovekarakteren er en kvinde, gør, at jeg med det samme tænker, at han vil skrive noget om undertrykkelse, på en eller anden måde, af kvinder, som er et emne, jeg ved, han flere gange har nærmet sig. As a metric, we use the maximum excess delay measured at 95% point of the cumative power delay profile from all base stations. For the distance-dependent channel parameters, we consider Greenstein’s statistical propagation model, which we extended for broadband transmissions. We extract all model parameters from 2.6 GHz multi-cell measurements in our field trial and parametrize the model at a fixed ISD. We also investigate the impact of antenna downtilt and find that when a larger downtilt is used, the rms delay spread and 95% excess delay are smaller. However, there are critical 3D effects close to the sites not included in the model. Then we consider larger ISDs and indicate how the delay parameters grow. Based on Greensteins model, the short cyclic prefix in LTE is hardly violated for realistic ISD at 2.6 GHz. I.
