...were, As if you had been, Listening inside my head Everything had fallen apart You came into the picture, Like a work of art I feel your arms around me, And it sets me free, It’s a good thing I used to wake up At the first drop of rain Now I sleep beside you, Through a hurricane Like a window, That was painted shut My heart was closed, And had enough And though I tried to hide away, You knocked until I opened up There you were, As if you had been, Waiting for me all my life Everything had fallen apart You came into the picture, Like a work of art I feel your arms around me, And it sets me free, It’s a good thing There you were, As if you had been, Listening inside my head Everything had fallen apart Then you came into the picture, Like a work of art I feel your arms around me, And it sets me free, It’s a good thing Yeah everything had fallen apart, You came into the picture, Like a work of art I feel your arms around me, And it sets me free It’s a good thing It’s a good thing It’s a good thing It was gonna be you and me, But now your gone. I had planned the rest of my life How am I supposed to move on I can't sleep in our bed Or on the couch You left so many memories When you walked out Kill me for loving you 'Cause I can't stop No matter how hard I try to. Kill me for loving you All I ever wanted to do Was love you. I've been crying every day and night For two weeks now I've been looking out...

...Wouldn’t it be cool to learn about a character who is hubris and caring at the same time? Yes it would be cool so lets talk about it, but first let me explain the purpose of the essay, the purpose of the essay is to try to get people interested in The Odyssey, and to teach about the greek mythology legends. The book is called The odyssey by Homer and the book is called Oh Brother Where Art Thou by the director named Joel and Ethan Coen which is also the writers of the movie as well. Odysseus is very caring and loving especially on Calypso’s island when Penelope and Odysseus were hugging. Another reason on how Odysseus is showing that he is caring and loving is when him and Penelope are also crying while they are hugging. In the movie...

...Depression can be described as feelings of severe low spirits, loss of hope, courage and feelings of dispiritedness but not a descriptive word of Joseph Cascio. Joseph Cascio, preferred name Jace, is a lover of arts, theatre, music and a die-hard Jesus lover and follower of Christ. Willing to give his life for the Lord and dedicate his life to Christ after hitting a very low point in his life, all thus loving theater arts and singing, in the absence of being told about his depression, you would never assume that he struggled with depression or any mental illness at all. When asked if there was anyone or anything he would give his life for, he quickly responded, “Jesus”. He continued to explain why, stating that Jesus gave his life for all...

...Helekunihi HIST 202-01 Final Paper Aug. 30, 2010 Feelings Waltz on the Canvas Vincent Van Gogh and His Impact on Art World “ ... Starry starry night, Flaming flowers that brightly blaze Swirling clouds in violet haze Reflect in Vincent’s eyes of china blue Colors changing hue Morning fields of amber grain Weathered faces lined in pain Are soothed beneath the artist’s loving hand…” In the song “Vincent”, Mclean reveals one after another beautiful painting of Van Gogh through the singer’s gorgeous words. At the same time he expresses his understanding and respect to the gifted artist Vincent Van Gogh. Even though Van Gogh was suffered by hunger and cold, misunderstanding and distorting, he had always immersed in creating art with passion. His inspiration of art creating was never surrendered to the fate. Speaking was never Van Gogh’s strength. He preferred to communicate with others through his art works. Van Gogh said, “…art wells up from a deeper source out of our soul.” The art world should be grateful for Van Gogh’s special way of communication. Otherwise there will never be Post-impressionism. Vincent Van Gogh lived long time ago, and yet his work is still varying many perspectives of people’s life. The legacy of Vincent Van Gogh led the flourish of the Post-impressionism and Expressionism, impacted many artists’ art style in nowadays, and changed the way mankind views the beauty of the world and society. After Van Gogh died, people...

...Michelle Cabirac ARS 101 1/30/12 Essay #1 The relief sculpture of the pharaoh Akhenaten, Nefertiti and three Daughters, along with the relief sculpture of Mai and Urel emerged from the eighteenth dynasty during the New Kingdom, and commenced a brief artistic revolution in Egyptian art. These two sculptures portrayed a sense of realism that was never seen before in the earlier/ancestral Egyptian artwork. By comparing and contrasting the two relief sculptures one can achieve a better sense of what each piece of art was trying to express. By examining both the relief sculptures of Akhenaten, Nefertiti and three Daughters, and Mai and Urel, several differences can be depicted. Many of these unlike characteristics involve a representation of the human form and appearance. At the top of the sculpture of Akhenaten, Nefertiti and three Daughters, appears a sun disk with rays angling down on all of them to represent the God of Aton. However, no such reference to Aton can be found in the sculpture of Mai and Urel. Next, the figures are seated facing one another in the sculpture of Akhenaten, Nefertiti and three Daughters, while the figures are both facing right in the sculpture of Mai and Urel. In addition, the Akhenaten, Nefertiti and three Daughters sculpture clearly has a reference to offspring. In the sculpture of Mai and Urel no children seem to appear. A few other contrasting characteristics of these two relief sculptures involve specifically the human form. The...

...Skilled, direct, and honorable are all attributes of many individuals. These traits are specifically contributed to Min in the novel A Single Shard. Min is an extremely skilled, elderly potter in ancient Korea. Throughout this novel, Min’s personality and behavior alters. Min is proficient when creating art in his form, pottery. Min is an exceptional artist. This can be known by a reader after reading page 138 in which the Emissary stated “‘I say it of this one. And the inlay work…remarkable.’” In this section, the Emissary told Tree-ear that Min’s work was remarkable....

...existence-loving one another (Chapman, 2011, p. 11). The goal is to move beyond customer service to loving care service. It is not bricks and mortar that create a healing home but a partnership between people that allows for a sacred encounter that changes lives forever (Chapman, 2011). The components needed for loving service are: skill, competency, stewardship of resources, and a servant’s heart (Chapman, 2011). This type of holistic care is based on trust and recognizes kindness, compassion, and respect are essential to clinical excellence (Chapman, 2011). The client is viewed as an integrated spiritual being that is treated as a whole person (Chapman, 2011, p. 34). This concept is foreign to the Western medical model, but no the nursing profession. The concept of caring has long been identified as the essence of nursing (Barker, 2009). In ancient times, nurses tended the sick and provided care for their needs between physician house calls (O’Brien, 2008). Florence Nightingale’s traditional model of the profession called nursing a “caring vocation” (Barker, 2009). Even the patients of today recognize it the nurse who provides for and tends to their needs. In the absence of therapeutic use of self during a hospital visit patient satisfaction scores decline. The Healing Hospital model is steeped in the Judea-Christian concept of unity between the body, mind, and spirit. The model uses technology and physical design combined with a strong loving culture...

...advancement of eradicating disease and uses a scientific approach to address the disease; it values the objective more than the subjective, and it does not involve or address the emotional and spiritual needs of the individual. The healing approach encompasses the whole person, both body and mind, to optimize the best overall outcome (Geffen, 2004). The healing environment facilitates the healing process by integrating and utilizing conventional medicine, scientific technology, alternative and complimentary therapies, aesthetic surroundings, and caring health providers who believe in and practice the art of compassionate care to promote healing. The healing environment optimizes overall healing and patient experience (www.siib.org). ...“His voice as tight as a fist. Opening at the end of a bar. Not on the beat, over it, playing with it, splitting it like a jazz man, like Miles Davis. Turning on the right phrase and the right song, which is where he lives, where he lets go, where he reveals himself. His songs are his home and he lets you in. But you know that to sing like that you've gotta have lost a couple of fights. To know tenderness and romance you've gotta have had your heart broken”- Bono on Frank Sinatra Few will argue with the statement Bono made at the 1994 Grammy Music awards while presenting Frank Sinatra with the lifetime achievement award. In fact, Sinatra said it was “the best introduction he has ever received.” Few will be able to argue because from a musical standpoint, there is no denying the greatness of Frank Sinatra for it is impossible to ignore the impact that Sinatra had on the entertainment industry. The controversy does not arise from the debate regarding his greatness as an entertainer, but as his greatness as a human being. The question regarding the greatness of any human being will never be answered. Human beings will never be in agreement as to what makes one “great.” Virtues and qualities held as the criteria for greatness for some people will be deemed by others as insignificant. Without having any interaction with a person for ourselves, the closest that we are able to come to a decisive answer on the greatness of a man is to examine his life with regard to what...

...humanitarian, human science orientation to human caring processes, phenomena and experiences. Caring science includes arts and humanities as well as science. A caring science perspective is grounded in a relational ontology of being-in-relation, and a world view of unity and connectedness of All. Caring science investigations embrace inquiries that are reflective, subjective and interpretative as well as objective-empirical and Caring science inquiry includes ontological, philosophical, ethical, historical inquiry and studies. It would be based on a healing culture that set itself apart from any ordinary hospital. The healing hospital paradigm would be a place where the staff understands the reason why they selected healthcare as their chosen career and the patient, because they would make the patients’ feel safe and comfortable being there. (The WebMuseum) The human experience that this artwork relates to is love which is clearly seen in the painting the work of art depicted a man and woman embracing each other lovely with their bodies fused together showing their unity for one another as stated “Klimt’s work explores the themes of birth, life death. The woman is especially depicted by turn as emotional joy bringer, temptress and child bearer. The bodies fused together as one emphasis their unity”. (Echostains) The way this human experience is meaningful to my life is that this is the way I show my love for my wife by embracing her in a loving way which help show her how much I love her as depicted in the painting so it can prove meaningful to a lot of people’s love life. The way this work of art expresses and relates to my own and most people’s human experience because at one time or another we all at one time have been in a relationship where we will show our love for one another by embracing and caressing our mates in loving way this is how many people in love express their love of another.
