What went well during the presentation?
During the presentation was well researched and people in my group chose pictures that gave interest for the class. We did meet once to at least get some ideas to make the class interested of each topic from the chapter. A lot of pictures did draw attention to me that I didn’t even know about. We did keep contact of our time during the presentation, just so we can be one track. The activity was fun to watch the student did participated, to get a reward of candy. We try to be well talkative too few of the students in the class or at least see that they were paying attention. Overall, we did do the presentation that brought something more with meaning in each of our sections from the chapter.
What went wrong during the presentation?
Time management wasn’t well accurate during the presentation, and really not that pretty to see. We did do things at the last minute by posting a few more pictures for the power point. The meetings we have had were only an hour long and we never manage to meet continuously or rehearsed our presentation. Mainly, in our group felt like individuals not as a group, we never brought the unity of helping, organizing, and being a team. During the presentation, we went to over the topic of our sections. We didn’t use a lot of pictures from the book or any info about the sub-titles. Seeing, it now didn’t make sense from our group, we knew it was confusing to the students. Speaking in front of the class was freighting from a few of us and all we did is read from our notes. Mainly, during the power point presentation was not felt as if it was not a “group project.”
For me as an individual, what would I make difference?
What I would have done differently was to not be so crazed about making things perfect or worry about my grade. What I means is with me I get worried and think would this picture be good for the presentation or would I at least did well. I know I shouldn’t have put two different subject titles and bunch it up together in one topic. I should have put it in an organizing manner so people can understand what I’m talking about. Even how I spoke to the class was terrifying to me and nerve wrecking. But, knowing since my degree is on teaching I know my main purpose is to get over that fear of stage fright. Also, what I would have done different is to communicate every single day to the group than just letting do their own thing.
What would I have done differently for the group?
For group I would of talk to them more about the power point of what it was going to look like and what’s going to be on it. I would of make more meetings with them and research and help out more if they don’t get something. For the group I shouldn’t have wing it and just go with second guessing of which picture was better. This means, I should stick to the subject of my section of the chapter than going overboard. Also, for the group I could be more informed of what was more important to put in the presentation than just throwing stuff in.
