Original Theory

A big part of a students academic performance is determined by an anchor which we all carry. This anchor is what we refer to as our intrinsic motivation and it does more than just hold our ground. This intrinsic motivation is what make us leap into new challenges and know were doing this work because we like it. Intrinsic motivation for a student can be the difference between a child that drops out and of a child who pushes forward to achieve a goal. It is said that as intrinsic motivation decreases, then ones academic performance decreases as well.
As students enter school with a certain amount of intrinsic motivation, years pass, and so does the motivation and energy they once had. By high school, many students are at the point of giving up and their motivation has reached a low point. They must now find a external motivation to allow them to continue achieving good goal in life.
Motivation is build up of three parts, the ability to develop competence, to create connection and to have the freedom to regulate our own actions. Introjection, is one of the ideal motivational ideas, which create students that do their work to feel better in the end. By promoting Intrinsic Motivation, Children will try harder in classes. The National Assessment of Educational Progress viewed that 73% of children actually read for fun. Showing that children are lacking even the smallest fundamental support.

Ones future is determined by ones actions, and for many students their actions are reflected of their academic career. Work Cited

...Art is any form of self-expression. Art is something that is created that entertains, inspires, educates or makes a person feel something good, bad or unexplainable. Art is whatever the artist does or makes in which they deem to be art whether it is of value or not. There is a wide variety of art, some that people wouldn’t imagine as art, but a true artist sees art in every creation. Art is everywhere and in everything I see. Art is not just a painting, poem, drawing or a ballet. When I think of art I think of something somebody does to release their feelings. Different people express art in various ways. For example, someone who writes a love letter because they are unable to express their feelings through touch or emotion. Is this art? Watching Michael Jordan drive down the court and slam the ball. He was recognized for his unique ways for a reason. So, is this art? Making music, any type of music whether it is appealing to your ears or not. Is this art? All of these things are art to me. Art does not have to be beautiful or make you feel good to be defined as art; it is an expression of emotion. We are all artists in my eyes because we are all able to feel and create. ...pastels, and oils on posters. National Museum of Art, Washington D.C. And Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taiwan Yayoi has a wide array of art that catches my eye. With then use of polka dots and motifs in her paintings to make wonderful works of art. Watercolors are also a bonus when looking at an art display as it can be very vivid and in high school I enjoyed doing thing that's involved the same things that she does. Pastels and Oils were also fun to use and were some personal favorites that make art a fun thing to do that someone who may not be interested in doing will like it. In one of her paintings from her exhibit, Infinite Obsession, she uses a wide variety of colors and polka dots. There are many different things that one could decipher about this painting but it almost looks like it could be a city or galaxy. The colors that stand out the most are green, blue, and red. It features an abundance of varying sights and colors that will wow a person with it being fluid and precise as it doesn't look like someone just threw paint on a board but it looks like someone did the work intentionally with thought and reasoning behind it. According to the Fall 2007 Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Definition of Art, by Thomas Adajan, "the definition of art is controversial... whether art can be defined has also been a matter of controversy." I think artists can take anything and put their twist on it and what they think it is and they can call it Art. Art is all around us in many forms and fashions. Art has evolved in so many different ways and can make people feel so many different feelings. ...The principle idea of this paper is to explore my opinions of Pop Culture and the Arts. Art to me is anything that can be pleasing to the eye and something that I can enjoy in my own way.
