One person who has been very generous towards me is Mr. Harty, my old algebra teacher. When I was a sophomore, I had switched schools in the middle of the year from a very small private school to a large public high school. I began the semester in Honors Algebra II, but the course was much more difficult than it had been at my old school and I struggled to catch up to where the rest of the class was at learning. The nurses and doctors were generous towards my family and I in the sense that they kept us informed and stayed calm throughout the situation. They constantly asked us if we were ok and if we needed anything which may not seem like a big deal to most, but to my
