According to Deresky (2014), AstraZenaca handles a whole process for expatriate management. They assist in setting up training, prior to the move along with on-site training. The expat is paired up with an international assistant manager, and provided with information specific to the assignment to include country destination guidance, home country return procedures, cultural details, social considerations, and any necessary language training. AstraZenaca also provides exposure to a previous expat who served in the destination location for better assistance. (p. 325-327)

However, there is always room for improvements or changes to integrate positive outcomes. This can be seen with the current performance review on whether “to continue the path of financial burden by limiting the amount of time spent abroad, or discontinuing the program altogether” (Deresky, 2014, p. 327). The stakes are high for company growth in more than one way. If the current process is beneficially successful to the company, and the cost can be absorbed effectively, then leaving the expatriate opportunity on the table is great for hiring and retaining employees. This is also a great way to advertise from a competitive vantage point. The goal should be how to enhance a business process and strategically engage everyone involved at minimal expense. A company offering flexibility will have a reduction in turnover compared to companies not offering this type of opportunity. Balancing family, work, and education is a hardship for many employees. A company promoting and delivering flexible schedules, intermittent shifts, or apprenticeships along with whole family moves, or programs to assist expats in the home country, while abroad, provides employees with more than a financial gain. It helps employees reach their goals on an individual basis, while reducing the stress levels associated with an international assignment and managing family matters. A business is able to thrive through a work life balancing act with proper management practices, too. A manager will need to use their expertise in managing diverse schedules to accomplish this aspect
