...Current Business Research Project Letitia miller RES/341 March 6, 2012 Alexander Odemba Current Business Research Project A response to "Reflections on a global financial crisis" Caprotti, F. (2009), "Financial crisis, activist states and (missed) opportunities", critical perspectives on international business, Vol. 5 No’s 1/2, pp. 78-84. • Define the business research and its purpose This paper seeks to draw out the main themes of the debate on the current financial crisis as published in the special issue of critical perspectives on international business Vol. 5 No’s 1/2 (2009) and place them in the context of subsequent events. It also considers what conclusions can be drawn both for future policy and for the conduct of future academic research. The paper overviews existing literature and summarizes the main findings, focusing particularly on some topics deemed important and interesting for directing future research. The paper finds that while the neoclassical approach to finance has evidently failed there is currently little consensus on how to replace it. This opens up the possibility of debate, new avenues for research and ultimately radical change. The paper argues that more interactions between academic and finance practitioners are needed. Research in finance should be interdisciplinary or embed the insights from other disciplines and it should put behavioral finance under main stream attention. The teaching of management and finance should also be more...

...Marcus Scott UNV-104 September 28, 2014 Eric Nordin Reflection Journal Taking UNV-104 has taught me many essential things that needed to know. To start off the information that was given to help me with my thesis statement proved to be very beneficial on so many levels. I know that I must not be opinionated in my thesis over have it very cluttered. I’ve also learned how to successfully create an outline for an expository paper. Something that I have never tackled before. I now know that writing in third person is accurate in these types of papers. I’ve also found that creating a draft makes writing much easier. As I have stated before in discussion questions, I never stared with a draft in my papers and that proved to show in my grades from previous institutes. Correctly using the right sources to make my paper a collegiate paper was also something that I will cherish from this class. I found that correctly citing data retrieved from reliable sources made my essay flow and sound much better. It helped me get my point across because I had information to help me back up my claims. Also discussed in this class was the importance and benefits of using proper communication. I learned that effective communication can help us not only in school, but also in our career paths. Being able to correctly express yourself in writing shows that you are educated and credible. Out of everything that I have learned in this course I would say the most challenging was the CLC team assignment...

... In this paper I will talk about my experience with the Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory (EAI) self-assessment in relation with my personal values. Base on my experience with the self-assessment, I will talk about what Kudler Fine Foods recognize as values within the organization. This paper will also compare how my values align with the values of Kudler Fine Foods. After comparing the values alignment I will talk about the way these values would affect my performance if I was a manager at Kudler Fine Foods. The Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory self-assessment represents prominently ethical philosophy, which is use to analyze your own characteristics on ethics. I have learned that ethical perspectives vary depending on the individual and can provide me with a general point of view to approach ethical issues. According to EAI ethical decision making is compose of three important factors, awareness, articulation, and application. These factors develop my understanding and identification of my CORE believes, which will reflect my personal ethical perspective and style. According to the Ethical Awareness Inventory my ethical perspective is least closely aligned with equity. My interpretation of this result indicates that the perception I use to identify my Ethics Awareness Inventory is base in my perception of fair/unfair point of view in the components of awareness, articulation, and application.
