Australia is a multicultural society because it was built by many different cultures, ethnic, linguistic and religious backgrounds. Living in a society where there are systematic inequality affects everyone, whether in advantaged or disadvantaged roles. The experiences of privilege, marginalisation, exclusion and oppression cost us overall in Australia as a society.
