In 1982, Balderunner was created from Patrick Dick in the 1968 novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Set in a futuristic Los Angeles, replicates are in better terms, androids that were banned on Earth. Due to the fact that they are virtually identical to humans, it created urgency for the people of earth to ban them and create a task force to hunt down and kill them, known as “Blade Runners”.
It seems like a trend in a lot of the futuristic movies that involve some short of created being, whether that be a android, cyborg, or etc; that the created being was out casted from society and comes back for either revenge or to seek out their creator for personal fulfillment. To me, that seems to have a strong correlation to the human race.
