Back In The Day Analysis

f your parents are like mine, then you should already know the phrase “back in the day”. My parents say this phrase all of the time. Especially when me or my brother gets into trouble. For instance, every weekend I either hang out around the house or go out with friends. One time my parents were telling my brother and I about their childhood, saying that every weekend they would clean the house and on Sundays they would go to church. I’m pretty sure every parent has said something about their childhood to their children as a lesson for the child to learn. Child behavior today is worse than it was 20 years ago or back in the day.
One reason supporting my opinion statement is new technology and social media. I feel like the new technologies today are devastating the new generation of children. 76% of students say that they use social media 2 hours a day (Hatch 26). In 1996, 70% of parents purchased educational software for children (NAEYC 3). All of the different computers and social medias today weren’t even thought of back in the day. …show more content…
Today, children don’t really get good discipline for their actions. If student breaks the rules, the school has the authority to discipline them (Lee 3). Discipline can be serious as suspension or expulsion (Lee 4). My parents told me that when they were younger, they got paddled at school. Jim Fugate used The Educator, a paddle, to discipline students when he was a principal in Ellensburg in the ‘50s and ‘60s (Waller 3).
Some people would argue and say that child behavior today is better than child behavior back in the day. You would think that today teen pregnancy rates are high, but actually they are not. Today, teen pregnancy rates are surprisingly low and the marriage rate is high (Boonstra). In the 90s, the teen pregnancy rates were high and the marriage rate was low (Boonstra). I was shocked when I found out about that

...Financial Analysis My analysis on this paper was derived from this year’s numbers of both companies because I wasn’t able to get their averages because of data limitations. My paper contains information about the attempt I made in analyzing the biggest corporation in the beverage industry and these are PepsiCo, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. The type of analysis I did was vertical analysis which others may know of as a common-size analysis. Using this technique means that every item in the financial statement is expressed as one part of another base figure. The equations used in my analysis include the assets account and its base account which was Total Assets, liabilities and stockholder’s equity had its base as their stockholder’s equity and total liabilities, last, income statement had its base containing the accounts for their net revenues and sales. In this paper is my version of a horizontal analysis, it involves and evaluation of all the financial statements I have a hold of over the course of time. Behind this analysis is a purpose and it determines all the changes that took place in those figures over the years. Representation for these changes may come as different amounts or percentage changes. With the thorough examination I did on the financial reports, I gathered from these two beverage industry giants my analysis came out like this: In general, I saw improvements in all their figures over the years from the two different analysis techniques that I used on...

So the collection of data is very important, it comes in handy when making a conclusion, doing calculations such as range, median and modes. So the types of descriptive data that could be used to describe and summarize this particular data set. When considering the problem previously address both types of descriptive data can be used. For instance, with the My voice of the customer survey based upon how often a customer has to call back if that is ranked in the 30 percentile meaning that at least 30 percent of all the customers that called on one given day called back within 48 hours we are able to calculate the range of callbacks therefore we are able to calculate the average amount of callbacks on a given day. However, the most effective method that would be used of course would be finding the Median, Mean and Mode so that we are able to find the average reason for customers calling back within forty-eight hours and also the average My voice of the customer score coming from these particular customers. By these customer being routed to a special team of operations to assist this can also help to determine the feedback given by the representatives to help better assist the customers. First Farms Corp

...Executive Summary This paper shed light on the reasons behind First Farms Corporations’ deficit in its operating cash flows and its decrease in Return on Equity (ROE) despite having a 40% increase in sales and 89% on net income. The objective of the paper is whether the management should recommend pushing through with the planned expansion of the chicken business as well as the feeds business. After having analyzed the financial ratios and SWOT of the company, it has been decided that it is better for the company not to push through with the expansion. Despite the promising increase in sales and net income, its inventory has been problematic as it showed an inverse relationship with its sales which is where we can trace back the deficit in its operating cash flows. It is recommended that the company seek better implementation of how it disposes it inventories as well as collect its receivables, find alternatives as how to handle increasing cost of production, and study its business environment. This could be the best alternatives that the company could do until they are in shape again to continue with expansion plans if the need arise again in the coming years. II. Point of View For this case, the point of view of the Vice President for Finance of First Farms Corporation (FFC) will be used. III. Case Context The First Farms Corporation started in the 1950s as a small animal feeds manufacturing plant with 15 employees in Caloocan. Since then, the company...

What Is Patent Infringement

...understand a patent is to understand how a patent is infringed. So, we know the power of the patent is in the claims. This is where the inventor defines his or her patent rights; his or her ENFORCEMENT rights. So, let’s try to infringe some claims. We’ll use a simple example. Let’s imagine we can get a patent on anything. Let’s get a patent on a basic chair. Imagine a world without chairs…pretty scary…all we can do is sit on rocks. Not comfortable. Hard to move around. So, we invent the first chair. And we know we’re on to something. Everyone will want to buy this. So, we go to a patent lawyer and get a patent. Here is the claim. (Visually display the elements) • An apparatus for sitting comprised of • a seat, • a back, and • four legs. All of these elements make up one independent claim. And this would be a great claim. It would come at the end of a patent document which could be a few or even dozens of pages of text and drawings describing how to make it and how to use it. (Patent visual running through page after page of drawings then text…then narrow in on a claim). What can we do with this patent… with this claim? Well, first, in our scenario, let’s pick a country. We need to do that because each patent is only useful and enforceable in the country that issued it. So, for simplicity, let’s say this is a US patent, and it wasn’t filed in any other country. Which means it’s only useful and enforceable in the US. (Visual of a globe...
