“How to Get Rid of Your Boyfriend”

Never have I ever been involved in a relationship as crazy and entertaining as the one I just came out of. Talk about your low-self esteem,” Gees!” I don’t know who’s was lower mine or his. However never underestimate the power of a man inlove or a women scorne.
It wasn’t always the late night battles over the remote control flying across the room or the police being called over for a domestic disturbance. It started off as two people inlove. Yes,” Crazy Inlove “ or as we were known as “Locos Enamorados” Having had worked opposite shifts the weekend was ours.
Ours to run off and disappear into the late night and be free from care of any real responsibilities. Walking home drunk in the dead of the night trying drasticly not to get picked up for public intoxication. Having all nighters dancing to Salsa and Reggaeton enjoying a freshly smoked pig with our Cuban friends it was a constant weekend party. However, all good things come to an end. Here comes all the drama and disrespect.
At some point a constant partying in a relationship begins to weigh in emotionally and financially. One wants to go out the other says there’s no money. One says I can do what I want I’m a grown up the other says act like it. “Rediculas.” After having had spending the night in jail on the Island durring our family vacation at South Padre Island for PI and a domestic dispute I began to reevaluate our relationship. In a relationship gone bad someone has to be the bigger person. Clearly it had to be me or did it? Some relationships linger on because either one has no where to go, they believe things will get better or my favorite “ I love you.” And I will change.
Unemployed and unemployment running out the stress and jealousy begins to effect my better judgment. Dying with envy stuck at home in efforts to rehabilitate myself (in other words my broke butt had to stay home) he finally makes it home after a night from hanging with his boys. I lovingly greet his drunkenness with a thrashing beer bottle to the head then dragging him out to the street by a leg. Threatening him that I will call the police if he doesn’t leave. Disoriented and confussed my poor cubanito leaves. The next day the honeymone stage begins. All is well until the weekend comes again and the cycle repeats it’s self. Flat tires, broken windshield, bruises and blackeyes. By this time the neighbors are getting real tired of this but some yet enjoying the show and finding this somehow amusing watching outside their window. ”Really?” It never seems to amaze me how in this day in age neighbors still mind their bussines when the police starts asking questions if they saw anything.
At this point I see he will neither leave, make no effort to change or better the situation I begin to take matters into my own hands. Painfully I go down to the courthouse and place a restraining order against him, not for me but for him! This order stays in effect for twelve months and if violated by either one of us is punishable by law. I convience him it’s better that we part ways and I help him get a job in a different town. Where I do not dare to ask his residence in fear of me having a little episode of Fatal Attraction.
Yet, I miss wakeing up to a freshly clipped rose from the garden lying next to my pillow I wish him well.

My Special Guy

...had always been skeptical of blind dates but in this case I decided to give it a try. My best friend Tamisha had set up a blind date for myself and a friend of her then boyfriend. She did my hair as preparation for my date. I did my makeup and got dressed, came out of the bedroom awaiting her approval. After she fluffed me up a bit more, he called and told me he was outside. We stood outside waiting for his car to pull up in front of our apartment. When he arrived he stood outside the car and I walked towards him a bundle of nerves. He wasn’t very tall, about five eleven. Dark complexion, perfect teeth, low cut hair and just my type. I didn’t even introduce myself to him properly because I was so nervous. He laughed and said, Nice to meet you. I’m Jamaal.” He walked me to the passenger side car door to let me in his 2004 Chevy Impala. I sat down took a deep breath told myself to relax as he closed the door and walked back to the driver’s side. He told me he was taking me to Red Lobster. I was fine with that. I was just hoping that the date would go as good as he looked. We talked a lot throughout the dinner date. I felt comfortable around him, like I had known him for years. I felt that I could open up to him and let him get to know me. I told him about my childhood, my family life and bout past boyfriends. In return he told me all about his sisters and mom. How his dad passed when he was 12. As he spoke to me I noticed how chiseled his face was. How masculine and defined...

Hills Like White Elephants

...multiple critques of "Hills like White Elephants" I will briefly touch on a few. Several reviews elude the imagery and symbolism of the tale. Instead of list each critique in some haphazard bullet list we'll review the three points that were repeated and most obvious. The while elephant is the most prolific revolving theme of the story. Jig tells her boyfriend the hills look like white elepants. He responds that he's never seen one, to which she retorts "Of course you haven't". The hills are the imagery of the story. They are not actual hills but rather a metaphor for a choice of carrying a pregnancy to full term. White elephants are generally referred to as items whose maintenance costs exceeds their usefulness. In the story, Hemmingway is being subtle making an analogy of the hills being a child. For Jig, the costs exceeds the usefulness. To say children are exspensive is a Zamani 2 gross understatement. The hills represent an achievable undesirable journey. Jig comtemplates whether she's willing to make such a trip. This is eluded several times in the story. Her boyfriends perspective is that the hill is blocking his life with Jig. While jig indulges in the thought of the top of the hill; a child;family;life. The station is a allegory for change. The couple has a decision to make before they come or go. Where they are is irrelevant. The only important detail is where they go from here. This is why their location...

Biography

...I am 47 years old and I live in Texarkana, Texas. I moved to Texarkana about twelve years ago to get away from the craziness in Houston, Texas. So, I decided to move to the country where I now live with my boyfriend, two, toypoodles, a ferret and my boyfriends parents. We all live in the country on 5 ½ acres. Our home is 2 homes in one which are both separated, the parents live on one side and we live on the other. Once you have been use to living the city life and move to the country it can be quite an adjustment because there is not much to do in Texarkana, Tx compared to Houston. For instance, simple things for me like driving to town seem like such a chore. Since moving to the country instead of going shopping for dinner no more then a mile from home I now have to drive over fifteen miles to town. Sometimes i feel like I have wasted my entire day. The up side of living in the country is that it is quite peaceful and you do not have your neighbor in your back yard. I have four children 2 girls and 2 boys. My girls are Diana my oldest 29 who has two children My grandchildren Makelia 7 and Baby Juan 4. My daughter Mary is 28 and she has 3 boys Vince 8, Louie, 3, and Baby Luke who is 1 ½ . Job, family, friend. Expectation is a big thing for me. I have learned in my life not to have expectations from anyone else but from one self. So, the only expectations I have kept from this semester is to gain good grades. As, I am an international student and living in the United States of America from two years, being separated from my family. I have struggled a lot to be able to be in the situation that, I am living right now. So, I need to fulfill all of my expectations which I have seen in myself and my family too. Detour for Emmy

...Explanation of Title Is the title of the book “Detour for Emmy” a good or bad title? Why or why not? On my perspective the title “Detour for Emmy” is good title for this amazing book. The reason being is because everything Emmy goes threw is like a detour for her from start to ending. Emmy went threw a lot from being a regular teenager to being a mother at teenager years. Emmy had to change her goals and her dreams because of on little mistake that happened. But that didn’t stop Emmy from being the best she could be. She continued her life but down another path because she had another life to take care of besides her own. Being a single parent for Emmy was hard because she didn’t have Art there to help her or be there for Rosie. This was another big detour for Emmy because she thought that Art would’ve been a little bit more of a father and help to Rosie and her but he wasn’t. Everything to Emmy was a big disappointment to her in her life but she would just take another turn to make things better for her. Life for Emmy was full decisions to make either she took one path or she took another. Usually one was the difficult path because she either had to give something up she didn’t have the help. She would always have to take the path she knew would be easier for her and would help her with Rosie. “Detour for Emmy” was a very good title for this book as I explained the things Emmy had to go threw and the detours she had to make because of a little mistake that happened...

Soy-Dri

...Should youth 11 years old and younger be exposed to competition, i,e, scoring? Competition can be good for children. It can help children develop healthy attitudes about winning and losing. Children are not born with the natural urge to compete. This is a learned skill and behavior. Competition usually starts at about five years old. Competition can encourage growth and push a child to excel. Competition can also be very rough for a young child. There must always be a winner and a loser, but young children sometimes just can’t deal with losing. The question is, can a young child handle defeat and at what point do you no how much a child can take? Losing is a serious business, especially for a child who really wants to win. Winning, losing, or playing against others has little or no meaning for children under the age of seven. They are more concerned about the rules of the game and how the games are played. They often break the rules, because they can’t remember .By the age of eight, children can follow rules and understand what it really means to win or lose. In 2001, a survey was conducted by Sports Illustrated for kids. The survey found that seventy percent of children quit organized sports by the tender age of thirteen. They said that they were no longer having fun. Often this happens because referees, coaches, and parents are continued more caught up in the competition than the children. The focus should not primarily be on winning or...

Globalization

...Globalization in Business Donovan Chase PHL/320 12/22/2014 Bridget Peaco Globalization in Business Is globalization good or bad for your business? (1, premise) Globalization is viewed as either good or bad depending on your particular situation. For example, if you are an emerging growth industry, globalization represents a significant opportunity to access broader geographic markets, to accelerate growth and expand your business. (1, conclusion) However, if your business is an industry that has imploded due to the onslaught of global competition, or you have suffered a job loss due to downsizing or outsourcing you probably have a very negative view on globalization being good for business. Is Globalization “Good” Before we can decide what is good we need to have a definition of “good” as it relates to our topic. According to "Merriam Webster" (2014), Good is defined as something that is right or good. Something that has economic utility or satisfies an economic want. An example of good in the way we are defining it is the difference between good and bad. I personally feel that globalization is not good for the business of America. (2, premises) Globalization takes jobs away from people in the United States which raises the unemployment rate. (2, conclusion) Therefore, negatively impacting our economy. Ethics

...What does Kant mean by "good without qualification"? Obviously people try to seek and avoid many different sorts of things; those things which they seek they call "good," while those they try to avoid, they call "bad". These "goods" which people seek may be divided into those which are sought as means to some further end and those which they seek as good as ends in themselves. Obviously some things may be "good" as means to one end and "bad" as means to some other end. Different persons, motivated by different ends, will thus find different things "good" and "bad" (relative to their different ends). More food is "good" to a starving man, but it is "bad" to one overweight. In order for something to be good "without qualification" it must not be merely "good" as means to one end but "bad" as means to some other end. It must be sought as good totally independently of serving as a means to something else; it must be "good in-itself." Furthermore, while one thing may be good as means relative to a particular end, that "end" becomes a "means" relative to some other "end". So a college diploma may be sought as "good" as a means for the end of a higher-paying job. And a higher-paying job may be "good" as a means to increased financial security; and increased financial security may be "good" as a means to obtaining the necessities of life as well as a few of its luxuries. However, if we seek A only for the sake of B, and B only for the sake of C, etc., then there is never a justification...

Process Analysis Fishing

... Are you looking to buy a fishing rod? Here are 10 steps to make the process as simple as possible. 1. What type of fishing do you expect to be doing? This will help guide your decision making. For instance, you may need a different rod depending on whether you're fishing for salmon, pike, or trout. Likewise, sea fishing may also require a different rod. 2. How often do you anticipate you'll be using your new rod? If it's only for occasional use, your needs may differ greatly from someone who intends to fish quite often. 3. If you have a specific purpose you need the rod for, there may be better options for you than multi-use products. 4. Where do you intend to be located when fishing. A decision over the size of your rod will need to be made based on whether you'll be standing in the river, on the bank, on the side of a lake. 5. Fishing can be a long process and you may need to hold your rod for a long time without anything happening. As such, it's important you get a rod that is comfortable. Weight and size will be important factors. 6. Size and weight choices also boil down to preferences. Some anglers like them heavier, others lighter. If you're new to fishing it might be a good idea to try a few out in-store. 7. If you already have a rod and your new purchase is going to be for a specific purpose, then you need to ensure your reels are compatible. Otherwise, you may need to spend a little more. 8. Do a little research on the brands you like and don't like. Reviews...
