...Have you ever just had a bad hair day? When you woke up and no matter what you did, you couldn’t get it to lay right? Well I am here to tell you about a hair product that could end your bad hair days forever. Affordable, quality products are often kept secret. They blend in with other fancy named products and often go unnoticed. My sister in law has been a hairstylist for 17 years and has used and sold this product to almost every client she has had. Today, we will look at a hair serum that can help you achieve a salon quality hairstyle right in your own bathroom, with your own fingertips, at a much cheaper cost. First, I want to tell you why you need this product. According to the Milady Standard Textbook of Cosmetology, the average growth of hair is around ½ inch per month. Many people don’t see this hair growth because environmental factors often cause the hair to break off at the ends. Your hair needs some type of protection against these environmental factors. It is one of the first things that people notice about you. It is the first thing that we either compliment, or sit back and silently notice how bad it looks. Most of us have made at least one bad first impression, or been embarrassed because of how our hair looked when we’ve met someone for the first time. Whether it be a prospective date or employer, we have all experienced this. Many hair smoothing products are very overpriced. They leave clean hair looking greasy, while it feels weighted down and looks like it...

...classroom, on the road and during everyday life interactions. Although it is hard to argue that the advancements of technology can be bad there is proof that it has distracted people from the simple things in life that are necessities to focus on. In todays society text messaging is the most common way of getting in touch with people, however cellphones are becoming a major distraction. Texting has become so severe that people would rather sit on their phones and talk to certain people then talk to the actual people they are with. Everyday I notice a peer texting during class, they become glued to their phone and are not aware of the conversation happening around them. All over Plymouth and all other college campuses students are constantly distracted by texting in the class room. As texting becomes more common so does texting and driving, which “caused around 1.3 million crashes in 2011”(text statistics). and has significantly increased since then. It should be common courtesy to keep your phone away while driving to protect others, however millions of people are doing it every day because they are addicted. The constant use of cellphones in todays society continues to increase and with that phones have taken over the classroom and the road. Most teenagers these days have “Smart Phones” which are phones that are able to access the internet, play games, text, and take photos. The most common smartphone’s on the market are the Iphone and the Android. Both devices are similar to...

I enjoy football because when you win you know that you earned it. But, if you lose you still know that you tried your hardest. Football definitely has a role in my future. Because, I either want to be a football coach or be in the NFL when I grow up. I would probably coach middle school or high school football. The positions that I play in football are Linebacker and Tight End or Wide Receiver./8/31/16/This week during practice I was told that I might be able to play at Fullback. So, now I have to know the plays for Tight End, Wide Receiver, Linebacker, and Fullback. I was excited when I...

...nnyAlexa Szybowicz 2/14/12 Critic #1 Johnny Appleseed Johnny Appleseed is a play for children and not only was every child in the audience entertained, but so was I. The acting of the play was very well done to keep the children engaged. The stage it was performed on was fairly large and the director was sure to make good use of the entire space. The stage was used resourcefully with all of the scenery and props that were used for the play. If a mood in the play changed, so did the lighting to enhance the effect it gave people. From the lighting I could tell when it was day or evening, or when the Mr. Feelgood and his sister (the bad guys) were up to something. My overall experience of the play was good; I really enjoyed it, and especially how the actors interacted with the audience. I thought all the actors in the play were believable. They’re costumes fit their character of people from an ordinary, olden day small town. Johnny Appleseed and Mr. Feelgood were my two favorites, because they really applied themselves to their part and I just enjoyed the whole good guy bad guy rivalry. I noticed how later in the play when Johnny Appleseed had grown to be old, Jared Wagner, the actor, held his back with his hand to show that he had aged. The performers interacted very well together, I noticed in particular when every time Johnny would return to the field and Josh would meet him, they played the game with the kids in the audience whether or not someone was behind Johnny...

...can be really bad and cause physical and mental stress on someone. A significant aspect of the injury can contribute the loss to someone’s sports career. One major thing athletes suffer from is emotional stress which results in anxiety or depression in the process of healing. Most athletes will suffer from a change of moods for a small period of time. This will cause the athlete to be angry, depressed and have low levels of energy. All these is what I suffered from when I went down with a knee injury which caused me to have ACL surgery. It all started my junior year of high school I decided to play football again after taking a year long break my previous year. I worked hard throughout the summer to stay in shape, also eat right...

...their friends over to the house? Sometimes the parents might not have to work on Saturday, but the kids would have school. Now no one can sleep late or have quality time. Parents and children need time to bond. I’ve heard that the biggest influence on kids these days is the parents. Well, it’s not going to be that way for long if the children aren’t even seeing their parents. I think that before you make a decision you should think about what I am telling you. What about out of class projects and reports? They couldn’t be out of class projects if the children are always in class. I see another problem with Saturday school. Another day of homework. Homework already kills a lot of my time. I don’t want another day of it. I think people voting for Saturday school should put themselves in the children’s shoes. Just imaging yourself jumping out of bed on a Saturday morning and you say, “Aaah. It’s Saturday. What fun things should I do today?” Now imagine yourself saying the same thing and then you remember, “Oh, yeah. I have to go to school. Ugh.” Which one would you enjoy more? And think about the fact that when you are in junior high and high school, you won’t have any recess. So that extra day off on Saturday makes up for all the missed recess times. I hope you take my opinion seriously and don’t just think of this as some silly essay that everyone has to write. Think of what I wrote as real opinions. 5th grade expository I think the fax...

...there being an all powerful being greater than ourselves that is holding us accountable for our actions in order to judge us worthy of living in paradise, which we call Heaven. In the play written by an unknown author called “everyman” the character Everyman, must meet his maker as everyman must. The play was written using characters name as everyman but at some point within the context of the play, Everyman represents all man kind. The other characters; fellowship, beauty, kindred and deeds are all in close relation with Everyman and represents the other fruits of his existence in this life. God and his messengers, death are characters that everyman wants to avoid. In the play, God has sent down moral laws and rules called “Gods Love” for everyman to follow. All of mankind will be judges for their own transactions. The play was written during the middle ages after Christ. To answer for the life that everyman lives, gods sends a messenger, and the messengers name is death. We all have our own perception of death and the messenger named death. Metaphysically speaking death could be perceived as two separate entities, however in this play, I think the author was collaborating the two thoughts into one personality. I feel like the authors perception of death is that he is the bringer of the day of reckoning and not just a messenger of Gods words and will but the messenger of the reality of Everyman transactions. Death becomes a translator between Gods love and everymans actions...

...his performances, because he played really well. Felsenfeld said he never had a connection to the music, because he did not understand it. He was able to recall himself, (1)“Feeling a personal drought and an acrid lack of culture of all kinds, especially music”. One day while visiting a friend, Felsenfeld heard Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, which became an eye-opener for him. It was at that moment, Felsenfeld felt as if he heard music for the first time; that was the beginning of Felsenfelds journey and love for music. Just as Felsenfeld found his inspiration in music, I found some of my inspiration from the television show, “The Care Bears”. Watching the Care Bears taught me compassion. When I was young, I would see how they all worked together to achieve things they needed to do. Such as, “Cheer” bear would bring happiness to the others when they were having a bad day. Or, how “Friend” bear would always have a shoulder for someone else to lean on when they really needed Woods 2 it. I would play with my dolls in the same way the Care Bears interacted with one another, teaching them how to be there for each other. Now, as an adult, compassion still plays a major role in my life every day. I care for my children, my family and my friends. Even in my workplace, compassion is necessary to make sure people feel welcomed and safe. If someone is having a difficult time in life, I am there to help and show that I care what is going on in their lives. Not only...

...go and play basketball every day. I think that I am good, but at the same time there is a lot to learn about it. My big brother used to teach me some moves and techniques when I was younger. He still does, by the way. He also told me about a great basketball player named Michael Jordan. My brother has several books on Michael Jordan, and he always encourages me to read them. After I read one of his books, I considered him as the greatest basketball players on the planet. Next year I want to try out at school for the basketball team. When I play with my friends, I always steal the ball from them. I would like to be part of my school’s basketball team. I also would like to play in high school and in college, and maybe, if things go well, I might play in the NBA. The NBA is the national basketball association. I watch the NBA every Sunday. Even now, sometimes I go to my friend’s house and watch it during the week. My dad introduced me to basketball when I was five years old by playing basketball with me every time he came home from work. It is a dream for me to become a basketball player and playing basketball is a way for me to take out anger and emotion. My neighbor teaches me some basketball moves, but not as much as my brother who is known in the family as the future NBA star. I don’t have as basketball hoop. However, there is one in the neighborhood that I use to practice playing basketball everyday. If there’s a month that I don’t play basketball...

...Breaking Bad For Good Today’s society is smothered with the influence of media. On a daily basis, whether Americans realize it or not, they are being introduced to some sort of media along with the worldview behind it. As Professor Ken Funk says, “A worldview is the set of beliefs about fundamental aspects of reality that ground and influence all one's perceiving, thinking, knowing, and doing” (Funk, “What is Worldview?”). The concept of having a worldview tends to be put in a remote part of the brain in correlation to Christianity and religion. While this can affect a person’s worldview, it entails far more. Each individual has their own worldview that they believe in and live by. Every day we choose to continue to believe or disbelieve in our individual worldviews, and decide what we will let affect those beliefs. Media can have a large effect on a person’s worldview; this is especially true for the TV show Breaking Bad. After proposing the question, “What is Breaking Bad?” to ten ORU students, over half replied with “It is a show about meth” (Garland, personal interview). While most see Breaking Bad as nothing more than a show about meth, it has a powerful plot full of biblical persuasion that conveys the importance of morality and the negative impact egoism can have on a person. The TV show Breaking Bad, produced by Vince Gilligan, has become a well-known piece of media that thousands of people have spent watching countless hours of. It has taken the plot of good versus...
