Silahis Art Gallery is an art gallery contains several different paintings. Bahay tsinoy is filled with well crafted, life sized exhibits documenting the history of tsinoys. It was orderly organize that will take you through the early contacts in pre-history, to the Spanish period and to the current day involvement of the Filipino-Chinese in the country. Filipinos of Chinese ancestry have been a critically important factor in the development of the Philippines. The Bahay Tsinoy helps us trace Chinese influences on the Philippines from the earliest days to the present. As we enter, A huge Galleon Ship with a three life sized exhibit people struck me out. In Silahis art gallery, the only painting that struck me out is the mermaid with a flower beside her. When you look closely to that painting, the flower seems glowing. Its amazing that all I can say is Wow! Thumbs up to the painter. About Silahis Art Gallery, I can’t comment some more because i’m not fully satisfied although there’s alot of beautiful painting there. Imagine, we are not allowed to take some picture and even see some painting there. Its so disgusting. So I will focus my reflection paper in Bahay Tsinoy.
