In this book “Barns Burner” i’ve noticed that the way they treat this family is as if they were the same color as me. As if they did the things that the people before me have done to be treated just as them. The way that these tows people look at this family is that they have no reason to be on the earth with the rest of the fortunate and worthy white people. They aren’t labeled as white people because to the everyone else they are as poor as black folks so they might as well be treated as if that’s what they really were.

They thought he was just as bad as his father simply because he was his son , so they felt as if they shouldn’t trust him because they thought he may cause trouble or do something just like his father. They felt that their family was more niggardly because they felt as lowly as niggers so why not just count them as if they were actual black people because that is what they looked at them …show more content…
Barns Burner shows that it does not matter if you are the same color as the wealthy or the people who have the same dna or just even look alike, if you make mistakes or not even you the people in your family made mistakes you are gonna get judged for it. You are going to have to take the consequences for the person that did the wrong doings even though it is not you . This world will hold you accountable for situations that aren’t even your fault or you had no control over or anything to do with. It may have happened years before you even knew but just because you are something that same as them you have to be treated with disrespect, rude, ignorant.
