...In the book The Other Wes Moore the author, who is an accomplished writer, U.S. Marine, fine athlete, graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Oxford University, a one time White House Fellow, Rhode Scholar, a happily married man who traveled the world, is looking back into his troubled childhood trying to figure out what made him the man he’s become and prevented him from going down the path that so many young men with the same background, have taken. The question of what made the difference in the author’s life was provoked by the small article Wes Moore read in the local Baltimore newspaper. The article described the events of the robbery that left a security guard dead. By coincidence, one of the criminal’s name was Wes Moore, the same name the author has. “…I was struck by the superficial similarities between us, of course: we’d grown up at the same time, on the same streets, with the same name…”(xii). The convicted Wes was analyzing both of the life stories as well. He said: “…From everything you told me, both of us did some pretty wrong stuff when we were younger. And both of us had second chances. But if the situation or the context where you make the decisions don’t change, then second chances don’t mean too much…”(66). To that Wes the writer answered: “…I guess it’s hard sometimes to distinguish between second chances and last chances…”. In my essay I will refer to the writer as “Fortunate Wes” and refer to the convicted criminal as “Unfortunate Wes”. It is nearly...

...First of all ,if I were Kelly I wouldn’t risk my own and whole characteristic of my own job.i would risk the fact that I may lose my job or atleast the promotion. i would take the task as soon as I make sure that the bridges on my back are not broken . In another point of view,I would aswell take the chance and the opportunity BUT in this case I would make sure that the life of my family will be safe, eventhough, moving from a country to another always includes many difficulties .its normal and understandable that societies are different. not all the people live with the same life style! Not all people have big apartments with backyards and its not so hard to understand.if you are willing to take the risk and move to another country, you are taking the risk of giving up on something that you may prefer aswell. Its very easy to understand the fact that if you are moving from another country with another culture, to a country with a totally different culture ,you will have problems getting used to the situation and being adapted; atleast at the beginning of the journey ! in this case ,you should be understanding and patient. the first stage of the cultural shocks are always the hardest part to deal with, therefore being patient is the first “unwritten law” in passing by this level of culture shock . to be short ,if you are willing to experience something new and different, being open and understanding in the differences are as necessary as having a preview or an idea about the...

...Good results at school will bring success in the future. What do you have to say to this? Success? How to achieve success? Many people from all walks of life sure make a conclusion that the only way to achieve success in the future not other than achieves good results at school .Is that true? No one could possibly give an exact answer. However, in my opinion, I do not agree that good results at school will bring success in the future. In this society, many parents always told their children that they must study harder in order to pass their examination with flying colours so that they will have the key to success, have a better life. Can u guarantee? No! No one will ever know even what is waiting for you ahead, although it is just a few minutes or even a second. Statistic shown that nowadays, more and more people especially students are suffering from mental health problems. The main factor causing more people to develop mental disorders is the increasing of the stress level. As a result, the numbers of people committing suicide increases from time to time. Some may also credit their heart to rule their mind and end up by committing crime that will lead to many to tragedy just to release their pressure that they have been suffering all this years. Besides that, there are also many graduates who had been achieving good results during their entire school life. But have they succeeded in their life? Some may and some might not. This is due to the exam orientations...

...Preparing an Effective Case Analysis Michael Hitt, Duane Ireland and Robert Hoskisson Using the Case Method The case method brings reality into the classroom. When developed and presented effectively, with rich and interesting detail, cases keep conceptual discussions grounded in reality. The case method can help you develop your analytical and judgment skills. Case analysis also helps you learn how to ask the right questions. Students aspiring to be managers and business owners can improve their ability to identify underlying problems, rather than focusing on superficial symptoms, through development of the skills required to ask probing, yet appropriate, questions. The particular set of cases your instructor chooses to assign the class can expose you to a wide variety of organizations and managerial situations. This approach vicariously broadens your experience base and provides insights into many types of situations, tasks, and responsibilities. Finally, experience in analyzing cases definitely enhances your problem-solving skills. Furthermore, when your instructor requires oral and written presentations, your communication skills will be honed through use of the case method. Of course, these added skills depend on your preparation as well as your instructor's facilitation of learning. However, the primary responsibility for learning is yours. The quality of case discussion is generally acknowledged to require, at a minimum, a thorough mastery of case facts and some independent...

...Thoughts on Economics Vol. 20, No. 03 Problems of Bangladesh Garments Sector and their Solution– An Islamic Perspective Sarwar Md. Saifullah Khaled( Abstract: The paper relates to the Bangladesh garments sector. Garments workers are badly exploited by the factory owners in collaboration with their foreign buyers resulting in a sub-human standard of life of workers. The occasional agitations for higher wages and better amenities for workers are alleged to be fanned up to violence by some interested quarters together with the privileged unorganized labour leaders and certain NGOs. The recent violence following the declaration of the Wage Structure 2010 is alleged to be backed by those interested in taking away this industry from Bangladesh. The paper highlights the major problems faced by the industry and suggests solution in the light of the teachings of Islam. I. Introduction After the decline and fall of the jute industry just after liberation – (recent media reports show a hopeful prospect of this industry) – the garments industry now plays a vital role in the economy, starting about a decade or so after the emergence of Bangladesh. Like the jute growers and the jute industrial workers that were once the driving force of the Bangladesh economy, the same role is being played today by the garments industry and its workers, and they are the single largest number of industrial workers in the country. With the toil, sweat and untiring effort of the garments workers, this industry...

...The book’s main argument about the safety of genetically modified food is that the DNA may not completely break down in human body, however it is very unlikely that the residue DNA will have effects with human genes; thus we should not worry about generically modified food alter own genes (aaaa). The first part of the argument is the most compelling argument, as it is supported by researches done by Gilbert and Doerfler. The Gilbert’s experiment used human as experiment samples and fed them hamburgers and shakes made of genetically modified soybeans, and the result is that all DNA had been broken down after the digestion process (9999). Doerfler’s experiment is conducted in an extreme way (bbbb). Doerfler fed mice with pure extract of modified...

...Full Title of Paper Your Name Harding University Abstract The Abstract is a summary of the paper, not an intro. The reader should be able to read the Abstract and get a good idea of what the paper is about and the conclusion you drew. It is written in block form without the first line indented and should be 150 or less in length. The entire paper should be in Times New Roman 12 font, double spaced with no extra spaces between sections, headers and text, paragraphs, etc. Go to the Home tab of Word and click on Paragraph. Under Paragraph, choose 0 under the Spacing section. Choose Double Space under Line Spacing and First Line under Special. Again, the first line of the Abstract should not be indented, but the rest of the paragraphs in the paper should be. Full Title of the Paper For this section you will need to decide on a thesis statement for the paper. This is a general statement about your topic that shows your approach and point of view. It is an introduction and shows how the entire paper fits together. The length will vary, but should be at least a few paragraphs with new ideas in each paragraph Level 1 Heading Here is where you start the body of your paper. Tie it in with the previous section to make sure the paper flows well. Break your ideas into paragraphs, one idea per paragraph. Long paragraphs are difficult to follow, especially if they contain multiple ideas. The first sentence of each paragraph should...

...address 192.168.1.100 and MAC address 0000:0000:AAAA, so it adds this IP and MAC pair to its ARP table. Step 12, ARP builds a ARP response with its own IP address 192.168.1.200, then passes it to Layer 2, telling Layer 2 to send the response to MAC address 0000:0000:AAAA. Step 13, Layer 2 encapsulates the ARP in a Layer 2 frame using the destination MAC address 0000:0000:AAAA provided by ARP and the local source MAC address 0000:0000:BBBB. Step 14, When Host A receives the frame, it notes that the destination MAC address is the same as its own. It strips the Layer 2 encapsulation and passes the remaining ARP reply to the ARP program. Step 15, ARP notice the ARP reply is from a host with IP 192.168.1.200 and MAC 0000:0000:BBBB, so it adds this IP and MAC pair to its ARP table. Step 16, Layer 2 now mapped the destination IP address 192.168.1.200 to the corresponding MAC address 0000:0000:BBBB with the help of ARP program. Therefore, it can encapsulates the pending packet into a frame with Source MAC 0000:0000:AAAA and destination Address 0000:0000:BBBB, then the frame out. Step 17, At Host B, the frame is passed up the stack where encapsulation is removed. The remaining protocol data unit (PDU) is passed to TCP. Step 18, In response to the SYN, TCP at Host B passes a SYN ACK down the stack to be encapsulated. Step 19, Upon receives the SYN ACK from Host B, Host A sends back the ACK to complete the Three-Way Handshake. Step 20, With the three-way handshake completed, TCP can inform...
