It is the part of the company that brings in the least amount of money, so we will invest less money on producing this product. As PUMA is on a higher price position in the market, it doesn’t make much sense for the parents to spend a lot of money on clothes that their kids will grow out of in a few months.
We have made the BCG matrix analysis, incorporating all the segments that exist in PUMA rather than departments of (men, women and kids). We had thought to make a matrix of departments making the matrix analyzing the sales and the best seller products. However, in today’s market we see that the success or failure is not due to the department to which it belongs, rather the success or failure depends just on the products. Actually, it doesn’t matter if men are wearing women products or women are wearing men products, the product is what has an influence or its success or failure, not which department it is
