What questions do you have? Consumer Expectations for Vietnamese Cuisine Vietnamese is one of a handful of ethnic cuisines that have gained traction in the U.S. restaurant industry. For startup Vietnamese restaurateurs, it's important to balance an authentic dining experience with the demands of U.S. diners. Even if you have buckets of experience cooking authentic Vietnamese cuisine, you'll want to visit several successful Vietnamese restaurants to familiarize yourself with the Vietnamese dining scene in the U.S. Startup Vietnamese restaurateurs also need to develop their...

This beauty shop is located in the city of Dale City, VA. This Business is called Images Beauty Shop. Images Beauty Shop is surrounded by several different types of businesses such as schools, grocery, and a few other retail stores. Images Beauty Shop was owned by older women previously, but the owner moved to a different part of the State to resume her business. Images Beauty Shop is now owned and operated by a single individual and offers competitive prices when compared to similar businesses in the area. Business at Images is great. The Business is making a profit of 4,000 dollars a month on average after expenses. I feel that the business could generate at least double what it is currently making if the owner would incorporate advertising and other marketing strategies to promote the business. Images get most of its business through word of mouth, which is great for the business. Images provides serives all cultural groups and provides quality services such as haircuts, shampooing, wash and sets, relaxers, and hair coloring. Also the company is advertising for at least 2 more hair stylist to serve women of all ethnic groups to expand its business. From my point of view; from being a long term customer, these are some of the issues and dissatisfactions...

Splash Corporation Case Study

...Chairman and CEO of Splash Holdings, provides some key insights into how he views his company’s place in the highly competitive cosmetics and toiletries market in the Philippines. An underdog success story in the truest sense of the word, the rise of the Hortaleza family from their humble beginnings as civil servants, to the pioneers of the “next Unilever”, the story of Splash Corporation is an informative model for those who wish to study the marketing strategies that drive successful startups in competitive markets. Several years removed from its creation, Splash finds itself facing challenges that are quite different from those that it faced at the time of its inception. In many ways, the underdog mentality that so successfully fuelled Hortaleza’s initial strategies is now obsolete. Splash finds itself in something of an inconvenient middle-ground, competing for market share against emerging low-cost alternatives and fighting the big-budget multinationals that continue to dwarf the scope of Splash’s product lines and thee depth of its marketing budgets. The following case analysis looks at Splash’s current position in the Philippines cosmetics and toiletries industry, and attempts to draw conclusions on future opportunities and points of leverage for Splash’s continued expansion and growth. Building on these points, this discussion will propose specific recommendations for selected products as well as some recommendations for general strategy. Situational Analysis Environment ...

Entrepreneurship

...1. Introduction In the 21st century, beauty and make up are like the wheels of a cart or the two sides of a coin. Women are beautiful in themselves; but a little make-up does help a lot and it keeps one to make the day better and happier. Every woman wants to be pretty whether she’s young or old so the beauty salon is the place to go. The beauty parlor has become an almost iconic figure in Western culture and Southeast Asian culture as well as in modern generation. The beauty salon is where a woman goes to have their hair and nails done. As such, choosing a beauty salon is a process most women (and even men) will undergo. The first thing to start in choosing a salon is to evaluate what needs to be done. A woman who just wants her hair trimmed might go to a beauty parlor than women who wants a permanent coloring, or more extensive services. If a woman wants her hair cut promptly and that day, she might be better off visiting to a walk-in salon, more willingly than trying to find her regular stylist. For other kind of services, a woman might want to think about a full-service in by-appointment-only beauty parlor. This signifies that she will have a stylist who is expecting her and definitely knows what she wants to be done. Genesis Beauty Parlor has been established by six individual people who have formed partnership under the Partnership Act 1932. According to the agreement all the partners will invest equal amount of money as well as bear the equal amount profit/losses which...
