Beauty Lies in the Purity of Heart, Looking Good Is Just Called Prettiness

Nowadays, many people are not aware that there is a huge difference between “Beautiful and Pretty”. Both words are used in our everyday lives, and most people are not clear about what their meanings are. In fact, by the time we call a person “pretty or beautiful”, we need to make sure how to use them and how to differentiate their meanings. I know some person may have different definitions of both words, but this is mine.

Beauty is a quality that people, places, or things have that makes them very attractive, natural, spiritual, intellectual, and real to look at. For example, a woman who is beautiful, an attractive young lady, a stunning flower, and a mother cat taking care of her kittens are all examples of beauty. Conversely, something that is pretty is pleasant to look at or listen to, but it is not impressive. For example, a woman or child who is pretty has a nice, attractive face. That is to say, a person that is beautiful don´t has to be pretty. Being beautiful makes you a lot prettier, but being pretty never makes you more beautiful. This is because beauty comes from the inside, and prettiness from the outside. To demonstrate, a woman who wears makeup can make her look pretty, but it can’t make her look beautiful. All because beauty is inside of us. It is how we behave, and how we treat other people what makes us beautiful. It’s who we are.
A person that is really beautiful has to have certain attributes. From my perspective, a beautiful person is gentle and kind. It’s helping and loving. A person treats others with respect, as well as, being open and honest. I also think, that every person is beautiful in a special way. Every person is different from what they are and look like. Beauty is something unique, while prettiness is more general. Most people think that big eyes, long hair, long legs and a flawless skin are pretty. But yes, these things make us look pretty, but they don´t make us beautiful.

Beauty and prettiness are completely different things. They are somehow connected to each other. In other words, some people might not be objectively pretty, but they though seem really pretty. That’s because a beautiful soul makes us automatically look prettier. In addition, if we are gentle, treat other people well, and have good manners, people will see us as a beautiful person. To emphasize, I think that a good character makes us even more beautiful than a pretty face because what would we think about a person, who has a perfect body and face, but it is really arrogant or has bad manners? An honestly smiling person is a lot more attractive, at least for me.

From my point of view, I am a person who loves makeup and styling, but I am also aware that looks is not too important. If I could choose between a pretty face and a beautiful soul, my choice wouldn´t be difficult because being beautiful is a lot more important than being pretty. And you can never be really ugly if you are beautiful inside. By all means, beauty is what give us joy and spirit. Not all joy, but joy in knowing the object known, and prettiness is what give us an attractive, visual, and physical quality.
