How do you think Auggie’s experience at Beecher Prep went? Do you think you would want to have to go to some BIG New York Private school when you have Treacher Collins Syndrome ? Even though while Auggie attended Beecher Prep, he was bullied, tormented, or ignored by his fellow classmates. I believe Auggie's experience at Beecher Prep had a more positive impact on his life than negative because it made him realize what life is actually going to be like, and show him that his mother can't protect him from everything throughout his journey. Going to Beecher Prep made Auggie have a more superb set of people skills and make tons of caring and loving friends.

One way that Beecher Prep has made a positive impact on his life is that, he has befriended so many great people. Some of them he has met on his own or that Mr.Tushman has introduced him to. Including Summer, she has been very sweet and nice to Auggie. Summer also treats him how he wants to be treated, like a normal 10 year old kid! Auggie Pullman needs to learn life lessons and other things that his mom can’t only teach him with home schooling. He also needs to learn how to see people and face them without his parents or Via being right by his side every minute. It shows this as on page 35. “Okay, so I admit that the first day of school I was so nervous that the butterflies in my stomach were more like pigeons flying around in my insides. Mom and Dad were probably a little nervous, too, but they acted all excited for me, taking pictures of me and Via before we left the house since it was Via’s first day of school, too.” This shows you how Auggie is going to school lonesome, no parents, no Via and no friends yet. This is of course going to be scary for Auggie but he eventually made lots of friends to help him along the
