Mind and Body Health One of the statistics that got my attention from the website was that high levels of hostility have been found to predict heart disease more often than high cholesterol, cigarette smoking, or obesity (Health Psychology, November 2002). This interested me the most because I always thought that high cholesterol, cigarette smoking, or obesity would be more predictive than hostility when it came to heart disease. Who would’ve thought that mental health can affect one’s cardiac and vascular health. In my personal opinion, the awareness of these facts may motivate a hostile person to decrease factors that lead to hostility thus reducing the predictability of heart disease. This statistics is very important in society because it will increase awareness that hostility is directly proportional to the predictability of heart disease. There are so many factors in today’s society that may cause hostility. Examples include war, politics, ethical and medical disputes, and death that lead to denial in family members. To be more specific, it could possibly be due to hereditary factors as well. Knowing this fact may lead researchers to pinpoint specific factors that cause hostility, reduce antagonism, and reducing the predictability of heart disease. Doing this is just one way of improving our society’s wellbeing. One approach I might use to approach this implication would be to further conduct more investigation to further understand this statistic. There is always research that is being done to fill knowledge gaps. After reading this fact, I was very surprised of this statistic and was curious as to why I didn’t know. From this, I think it’s important to spread awareness of this fact and explain it to others around me. These kinds of statistics are significant and may reduce the risk of heart disease. When I start to stress out, my body tends to become very tense, my heart rate increases, and I do not think rationally. Also my palm and my forehands become sweaty. Often times, I feel there are no other solutions and I feel like my mind is in a dead end. The way I manage stress is going out for a drive, heading to the gym, listening to music, and hanging out with my closest friends. By taking a break and getting my mind off of the stress reduces my stress anxiety. One of the current healthy approaches that I have taken to reduce my stress is going to the gym and working out. I get to spend a couple hours at the gym and get my mind off of work and school. I get to spend time alone by myself and breathe. One concrete example was a couple years ago when I was dating someone that stressed me out a lot. During that time, I never really got to go to the gym and have time to myself. The breakup was very stressful and I began to go to the gym. Exercising is not only an excellent way to reduce stress but it made me very healthy. As a result, I was less emotionally stressed and my body became healthier. One stress tip that I have not used on a regular basis is reaching out for support. I usually deal with stress on my own and have a hard time opening to others. I have a reserved personality so it’s hard for me to reach out for support. I don’t want to show people my weakness because I do not want to look vulnerable. However, reaching out for support is a great ideal because other people may share similar experiences like I do. Knowing that I’m not the only one can reduce my stress. In addition, they make share tips and advice on solving difficult situations.

Beep Narrative

...It was a hot sunny day on the turf and the steaming heat was traveling through the turf buds below my cleats. As we were doing the beep test I could hear the birds chirping in the air. The warm breeze hitting me in the face while I was running enjoyed the fresh smell. That last summer, anyone who was trying out for the school team had to go to a every year camp. The camp was four days long and we weren’t allowed our phones; on the first day it was extremely hot and we had to run two miles. Every day we had to get up at 5:30 in the morning and do a morning session, and then we went back up and got breakfast. After breakfast we would have an afternoon session; after every lunch we would have an activity to do like ropes course and zip lining, canoeing, scavenger hunt, and a talent show. At the end of the camp our coach would give everyone that went a talk about what they did good and what they need to improve on in front of everyone....

...BEEP CODES What is “Beep Code”- A beep code is an audible "code" generated during the Power On Self Test when the BIOS encounters an issue but hasn't booted far enough to display a POST error message on the monitor. Why are “Beep Codes” Necessary- Because it typically means that the system has encountered some kind of problem before it was able to display any kind of error information on the monitor. Examples of “Beep Codes”- Standard Original IBM POST Error Codes  1 short beep | Normal POST - system is ok | 2 short beeps | POST Error - error code shown on screen | No beep | Power supply or system board problem | Continuous beep | Power supply, system board, or keyboard problem | AMI BIOS Beep Codes 1 Short Beep | One beep is good! Everything is ok, that is if you see things on the screen. If you don't see anything, check your monitor and video card first. Is everything connected? If they seem fine, your motherboard has some bad chips on it. First reset the SIMM's and reboot. If it does the same thing, one of the memory chips on the motherboard are bad, and you most likely need to get another motherboard since these chips are soldered on. | Phoenix BIOS Beep Codes These audio codes are a little more detailed then the AMI codes. This BIOS emits three sets of beeps. For example, 1 -pause- 3 -pause 3 -pause. This is a 1-3-3 combo and each set of beeps is separated by a brief pause. Listen to this sequence of sounds, count them, and reboot and count again if...

These firewalls ignore information that is not secured and comes from locations that are unknown and suspicious. Hardware firewalls can be stand-alone and/or in broadband routers. Hardware firewalls does not necessarily have to be configured and can protect all machines on a local network. Hardware firewalls examine packet headers by using a packet filter. Based on previously stored information and rules, the packet is then forwarded to its destination or dropped. Hardware firewalls determine whether the information packets are safe based on the ports and URL. 8/31/14 Software firewalls are installed on a specific computer as opposed to supporting a whole network. It protects against remote access to control your computer. It can also block the running of potentially unsafe applications on your computer. Software firewalls normally uses minimal system resources and runs in the background constantly to ensure protection for the computer. Software firewalls need to be kept up-to-date to ensure the best level of protection from newer viruses and malicious content. It is best to always test both hardware firewalls...

Llama Story

One star, called the flagliop, and then planet llamah , where the original llama species came from. Once upon a time, and this is where the story begins, far before the evolution of mankind there was the llamas in their natural habitat on their square planet full of nature, success, and beauty. Two llamas in a scientific lab took place sitting standing at the telescope exploring the universe, when all of a sudden, a brown llama bursts inside and yells; "I'VE MADE SOME UNBELIEVEABLE DISCOVERIES!!" The white llama currently starring into the telescope turns around and says, "And may I ask what these discoveries are..?" The brown llama replies and says, "Of course, Professor Fluff." "Then go on." "I was just observing through the main telescope at front, you know, the giant one, and I happen to come across something exciting." "Get on with it Scit. You're starting to bother me." Scit blurts, "I've found another life form. They seem to be quite gigantic, and they are located thousands of light years away. They don't seem anyway intelligent, and they look much violent." Professor Fluff laughs at the poor excuse of a new scientist in training. "What's so funny?" The black llama listening on the side speaks up. "I wouldn't mind taking a look." So then Scit waved over the black llama into the other doors. The black llama looked into the glass...

...BIOS (basic input/output system) is the program a personal computer's microprocessor uses to get the computer system started after you turn it on. It also manages data flow between the computer's operating system and attached devices such as the hard disk , video adapter , keyboard , mouse , and printer . BIOS is an integral part of your computer and comes with it when you bring it home. (In contrast, the operating system can either be pre-installed by the manufacturer or vendor or installed by the user.) BIOS is a program that is made accessible to the microprocessor on an erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) chip. When you turn on your computer, the microprocessor passes control to the BIOS program, which is always located at the same place on EPROM. When BIOS boots up (starts up) your computer, it first determines whether all of the attachments are in place and operational and then it loads the operating system (or key parts of it) into your computer's random access memory (RAM) from your hard disk or diskette drive. With BIOS, your operating system and its applications are freed from having to understand exact details (such as hardware addresses) about the attached input/output devices. When device details change, only the BIOS program needs to be changed. Sometimes this change can be made during your system setup. In any case, neither your operating system or any applications you use need to be changed. Although BIOS is theoretically always the intermediary...

Recent developmental brain research suggests a plausible biological basis for early intervention. However, specific intervention practices must be evaluated on their efficacy, effectiveness, and cost justification. Early intervention has made important shifts in emphasizing social competence in the child and the essential role of the family and community (National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities, n.d.). With these thoughts in mind The Brookline Early Education Project (BEEP) was an innovative, community-based program that provided health and developmental services for children and their families from three months before birth until entry into kindergarten. The Never Ending Nightmare, a Nightmare Within Itself

...“The Never Ending Nightmare, a Nightmare within Itself” I will never forget the day when one of my worst nightmares became a comical reality. It started out as any normal Friday the Thirteenth, or so I had thought. For my sense of time had completely been forgotten. Beep! Beep! Beep! This was the annoying sound of my alarm clock that I would wake up too every morning. I used to dread this sound but lately, it was like a gift from God. I had been restless the past couple of nights—tossing and turning about my bed. I would have dreams, no, horrible nightmares of performing in front of a large crowd and just freeze. I was not able to move nor was I able to speak. I would just stand there in front of what seemed like the whole world and sob. This sounds like an exaggerated case of stage fright only, it was not. I had never experienced anything of the sort. I would enter stage left, cross downstage, and then begin to recite my self-published, might I add, monologue to my peers and professors. About a good four minutes in, the lights would start to flicker. It did not bother me at first, but it continued. Eventually, the lights shut off completely. The only light remaining was the ghost light placed at center stage behind me. Suddenly, an eerie fog made its way through the cracks under the doors and in the walls. Everyone in the audience seemed to twist into a sick-like, monstrous mutation. Their faces went from laughter and serenity to anger and despair. Even their bodily appearances...
