They have reported the dropping rate of the bees. Bee killing pesticides are one of the most biggest reason for this decline. Industrial agriculture, climate change and parasites are also the big reasons for the decline of the bees. Bees play a huge role in the ecosystems. A third of our global food supply is from bees. We depend on their pollination greatly. If we didn’t have the bees then wewould all die. We would have no one to pollinate all of the crops. If we they died we would have to hand pollinate everything, which takes a very long time, very expensive, and laborious. So technically it pays to have the bees naturally pollinate themselves. They are both able to depict Simon and Piggy as Jesus-like characters in the sense of truth telling, and the reference of being a martyr. Jack is depicted as a devilish and totalitarian dictator character, and it is much more visual in the movie, while the book is much more descriptive. The book form of Lord of the Flies and the movie version both depict the theme of biblical reference, but the way they show it is quite different. It is the means of visualization vs. description, and that is what makes these two works so great. In Diane Andrews Henningfeld essay titled “An overview of Lord of the Flies: Novel, 1954”, Henningfeld says, “...Golding writes a fast-moving, suspenseful adventure story” (3). What Henningfeld means is the book is impossible to put down. Readers are instantly pulled into this fictional, yet tragic, story that tells the adventures of a group of boys stranded on a deserted island. The book is the exact same as the movie, though. It is impossible to watch just a snippet of the movie. One must watch the entire thing in one sitting in order to be satisfied. Pp. viii, 331. Allen’s book is an excellent example of the persuasiveness of the new economic history. It is solidly rooted in statistical data and uses sophisticated methods of economic analysis but its analysis is presented in plain English. He argues that the first industrial revolution occurred in northwestern Europe because its high wages during the early modern period encouraged technological innovation. Although high wages were initially a consequence of the demographic disaster of the Black Death, they were reinforced during the early modern period by the economic success of the region around the North Sea, first, in European trade and manufacturing, especially in wresting the textile industry from the Italians, and then in world trade. According to Allen, the first industrial revolution took place in Britain instead of the Low Countries primarily because of Britain’s abundant and cheap coal resources, combined with the central government’s ability to use mercantilist policies and naval power to reap the greatest benefits from an expanding European and world trade.
