Benefits of Online Shopping Over Shopping From Traditional Stores
Online Shopping is fast: While you have to go through a number of steps to purchase items from traditional stores, all these steps are eliminated when you buy a product online. For instance, you do not need to get out of your bed, change clothes, get in your car, drive amidst the traffic, look for a parking stop, search for the product you want in huge aisles and then stand in the queue to pay for it.
Shopping for Products Online is Simple: Not only is online shopping fast, it is also extremely simple. You just have to choose a product and place an order for it without having to get up from your couch.
The order is delivered at Your Doorstep: You have to visit a traditional store to buy an item from there, however if you shop for products online, your order will be delivered to you at your house or any other location within days or weeks.
Affordable Prices: Products are available at more economical rates online compared to traditional stores; hence, it is wise to shop for expensive products including consumer electronics from e-stores.
You are Easily Able to Find Good Items for Special Occasions: When events like the Fathers Day, Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day come closer, the markets get jam-packed and you are unable to find a decent gift at a reasonable price. However, you can easily find excellent Father’s Day Gifts to give to your dad on the Father’s Day, and presents for other occasions online at great prices.
Apart from Kogan, there are several other reliable e-stores as well including JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Dick Smith and Harvey Norman. However, the problem with these e-stores is that almost all of them especially JB and Harvey Norman Online sell electronic gadgets at higher prices than those charged at Kogan, which is why people now prefer the latter to other e-stores for buying

Online Shopping vs Brick and Mortar Shopping

...Online shopping vs Brick and mortar shopping With many brick and mortar stores now online, shoppers have the option of visiting a traditional store or shopping online at their favorite stores from the convenience of their own home. Some people find the convenience of shopping online along with gas money they save to be an appealing way to shop. On the other hand, there are those who do not want to sacrifice the personal service they receive from shopping in a brick and mortar store along with the social experience of shopping with friends and family. While people still want a personal and social shopping experience with brick and mortar stores, online stores are attracting customers with better prices and convenience. The main attractions to online shopping for consumers have been convenience and lower prices. The cost of running an online store is considerably cheaper than a brick and mortar store; therefore, online stores are able to offer deeper discounts on merchandise and often free shipping with a minimum purchase requirement (Anderson & D'Innocenzio, 2013). There are websites like Ebates.com that offer cash back to customers that click through their website. Brick and mortar stores are fighting back by offering in-store only coupons, in addition to other discounts, in order to bring consumers back into their stores. In order to compete with many of the online store’s competitive prices, brick and mortar retailers have also begun to embrace technology by starting to sell...

...Meh Many traditional brick and mortar stores are now offering online shopping as an alternate choice for consumers. It is my opinion that this may eventually cause stores to compete with themselves in time because prices online are not always the same in the store. It is something that I have witnessed in the past and it will become an issue over time when more consumers choose to shop online rather than shopping in the physical store. On a separate note, online shopping is a positive thing for small online businesses that do not have to rent a brick and mortar building in order to run their business. The small companies are able to spend less money on a physical store and invest that into their online site. Sometimes this also benefits the consumer because they end up getting better deals by purchasing items from these smaller online companies. Peer to Peer Online Shopping

...Peer to Peer Online Shopping Peer to Peer online shopping is a high tech version of old fashioned bartering systems. Peer to Peer online shopping connects people all over the world by facilitating online sharing. Typically, an online peer-to-peer marketplace brings people and/or businesses together online to deal with each other directly without having to go through a slow, expensive middle man. Peer to Peer online shopping can be convenient, it can save time by having everything in one place, and save money by cutting out the middle man which will reduce the overall cost for the consumer and increases the profits for the provider/business. Peer to Peer online shopping can also be fun, and highly specialized. During the recession people had less money which caused them to spend less which eventually led to Collaborative consumption. Collaborative consumption which is consumers selling or renting to each other is encouraged by all of the Peer to Peer online sights. For example E Bay is a online auction and shopping website that provides peer to peer and business to consumer sales service via internet. According to our text book "one of the most surprising benefits of collaborative consumption however, turns out to be social. This is true because it allows for sharing between strangers and allows us to make meaningful connections.
