According to media sources, the current political climate is intense. Many Americans are angry, “dissatisfied with the state of the country, and 64.7% believe that the country is on the wrong track.” In fact, Congress is only getting a few positive nods—about 16% to be exact—from the citizens it serves, because 61% of all voters believe that “most representatives are selling their votes.” (Gallup, 2015) In general, people in the U.S believe the wealthy and special interest groups can easily buy congressional support. The distrust of the government plays a huge part in Americans’ skepticism and panic; in search for a new president, they’re looking for someone to subside their unrest. My candidate, Bernie Sanders, hears the issues at hand and …show more content…
Already, this sets the tone of the whole advertisement: Bernie Sanders is a man who cares deeply for people’s rights. Then we zoom out of the picture slowly revealing a video of Bernie in a crowd of people of differing races, ages, and genders, all smiling, shaking hands and hugging. This shows Bernie as a people person and promotes our campaign theme of equal rights. By showcasing people from various demographics, it evokes the sense that Bernie doesn’t discriminate and he has the RIGHT idea to include everyone. The song “One Day” by Matisyahu will be playing in the background during the whole video. This song is about equality and rights for those who have been discriminated against. This song says that one day, all the hard work the activists had done to advocate for equality will pay off. The song evokes a pleasant feeling and is extremely relevant to the political climate of today. It relates well to my candidate’s position and emphasizes why he should be the next president. The music will grab the attention of all those who have been discriminated against politically: minorities, women, LGBTQ members, veterans, etc. It will effectively communicate that one day everyone will be equal and get the treatment they deserve. This scene promotes the theme of rights, also equating Bernie’s character as caring for ‘the people’. The picture and video compliment the song nicely by its constant mention of equality and the diversity surrounding my candidate; everything, as a whole, will contribute to the effort Bernie is taking to demonstrate what an equal world actually looks

The rapid erosion of privacy poses numerous puzzles. Why is it occurring, and why do people care about it? This paper proposes an explanation for many of these puzzles in terms of the increasing importance of price discrimination. Privacy appears to be declining largely in order to facilitate differential pricing, which offers greater social and economic gains than auctions or shopping agents. The thesis of this paper is that what really motivates commercial organizations (even though they often do not realize it clearly themselves) is the growing incentive to price discriminate, coupled with the increasing ability to price discriminate. It is the same incentive that has led to the airline yield management system, with a complex and constantly changing array of prices. It is also the same incentive that led railroads to invent a variety of price and quality differentiation schemes in the 19th century. Privacy intrusions serve to provide the information that allows sellers to determine buyers’ willingness to pay.
