For Best Buy to better compete in the home good industry, the first step is to re-evaluate the competitive environment of the home good industry. Best Buy needs to identify its competitors such as the regional competitors, and potential new entrants. Once competitors are identified, the next step is to identify how Best Buy can compete in price, products, and services (Bateman, Shell & Konopaske, 2017, p.51). Should Best Buy carry general home good products, premium products, or unique home products catering to the demographic area. The tested strategic principle used in making the electronics and gadget products sale successful can be applied to the home good industry.
