Beyoncé has won 22 Grammys since she has started her singing career. She currently holds the second most wins by a female artist. The song "Halo" by Beyoncé is one of my favorite songs because Beyoncé is a very influential artist, the song shows that you don't have to block someone out because of your past relationships, and it also shows that it's okay to take risks. Beyoncé has had such a huge influence on so much, including: Music, fashion, dance, and so much more. According to a biography on Beyoncé "The collection-which was the fastest-selling album ever distributed by iTunes-also marked Beyoncé's fifth studio album to debut at No. 1, making her the first woman to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her first five albums."(A&E Television Network, 2018). Well, baby, they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make a sound" (Ryan, 2008)
Those lyrics show that she is letting someone in even though she created these walls to not let anyone else in. It's okay to let new people in.
Risks are always scary but sometimes it's okay to just go for it because you'll never "know the outcome of the situation if you never give it a try.

...P4: Explain two theories of ageing (use examples to fully explain what each of the theories are.) This work I am going to be doing is explaining two theories which are disengagement and activity theory. Disengagement theory: This is a theory that in most societies elderly people go through a process of adjustment. They reduce their social time with their family and friends and vice versa. This theory was formed by Cumming and Henry, because according to them “ageing is an inevitable, mutual withdrawal or disengagement, resulting in decreased interaction between the aging person and others in the social system he belongs to”. Disengagement tends to be required rather than voluntary. It was said that disengagement was popular and this was believed that it explained how people prepared for death at times. They have reduced health and social opportunities. Activity theory: It was proposed in 1972 by Lemon, Bengtson & Peterson. Activity theory challenges that staying mentally and physically active keeps old adults happy and stops disengagement from going to far. It was Bromley that said ‘It is not sufficient merely to provide facilities for elderly people. They need to be educated to make use of them and encouraged to abandon apathetic attitudes and fixed habits.’ If there was too much disengagement then this would lead to lack of progress and defeat of mental and physical skills. Old people need to stay to a certain degree engaged in social activity so they avoid becoming...

Fantasia

...Fantasia Barrino released a new album. “Back To Me” is her third album, and I must say this album is a hit. This album went back to what’s missing in the R&B world such as great melody, meaningful lyrics, and soulful singing. The first single, “Bittersweet” is talking about being in love with someone can be pleasant, but then it can be sour. “You know sometimes you have to put yourself first” are the first words you hear when you listen to this album. “I’m Doing Me” is the second single off the album that has raised to the No. 16 spot on Billboards’ R&B/Hip-Hop chart. This album has 12 tracks that you can take pleasure in listening to. It’s not following the music trend that a pretty face and a nice body will sell your album. Fantasia is a beautiful person inside and out, but her realness and angelic voice should be enough to sell this album. Fantasia has proven herself on this album by singing songs that we all have heard before. You can feel that her heart is in every track on this album. She is in the league with the other R&B divas such as Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, India Arie, Jill Scott, and Joss Stone. Fantasia recruited some of the hit makers to work with her on this album. Claude Kelly, Rico Love, Cee-lo Green, and Ne-Yo who wrote Beyonce’s hit, “To The Left,” another all time ladies anthem. “Man Of The House,” “I’m Here” and “Who’s Been Loving You” are not my favorite tracks. Other R&B female artists have sung about their independence or I’m the right...
