Theories Of Agoraphobia

...In the aforementioned theories there are distinct similarities as to how Agoraphobia is caused, several theories believe that it is caused by a traumatic life event or situation that has caused distress to the Agoraphobic, for example abuse, a car accident or loss or death of a loved one and this appears to be the main reason that people develop the anxiety that causes Agoraphobia. The behavioural theory fear conditioning also discusses learning this behaviour by reinforcement by people close to the sufferer. Though all the theories believe that the phobia is caused in much the same way it is important to understand that the Genetics paradigm talks about the predisposition of Agoraphobia being hereditary and that it can be linked to a fault...

About French System of Suffixes

Например, ethno- (ethnologie, ethnolinguistique, ethnocentrisme); ant(i)- (antidote, anticorps, antigène, Antichrist). Способность/неспособность той или иной морфемы выступать в современном русском языке как в качестве служебной, так и корневой является основным показателем разграничения аффиксоидов...

...The talk Biblio Service Michaela Haase Jackall, R., The World of Corporate Managers – Twentieth Anniversary Edition, Oxford University Press, New York 2010 A Capsule Summary of the Book This is the second edition of a book whose first edition was published in 1988. There has been no revision of the book; however, Jackall has added a new chapter titled “Moral Mazes and the Great Recession” to it. His description of the financial crisis brings nothing really new to the fore: it shows that nothing has changed in the aftermath of the convulsions caused by several occurrences of crisis in the financial sector or the business world in the last decade. Managers (of banks, insurance enterprises, of Enron, etc.) play(ed) high-risk games at the cost of the organization; they plunder(ed) the assets of employees and shareholders as well. If they win, they take all the gain; if they lose, they call for the taxpayer’s money because their organizations are too big to fail. They never think about stinting with their bonuses even if the taxpayers have to save the organization they work for because otherwise these same managers would leave it and so dispossess it of their skills and competence which, so they think, are badly needed to set it afloat again. Objective and Targeted Audience Jackall’s detailed sociological study of the managerial world is not written for a particular target group. As Jackall has clarified throughout a recent interview,1 his study is “part of a larger project...

Internal & External Factors

...Internal and External Factors: Hewlett Packard In the rapidly changing, complex corporate world of today, organizations must always essentially balance internal and external factors for risk, reward, threat, and opportunity. The most successful organizations of today have found the key to profitable functioning in a unstable global economy. The key is the management of internal and external factors through successful use of the four functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. These four functions are the tools that allow an organization such as Hewlett Packard to profit and prosper in the face of the powerful influential factors of globalization, technology, innovation, diversity, and ethics. This paper will discuss in detail how this corporate giant, Hewlett Packard, successfully manages these five factors through effective planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. Globalization The first influential factor that plays a vital role in the HP organization to discuss is globalization. Globalization has become a vital factor in navigating and profiting from operations in the corporate world of today. HP recognizes this global market and uses extensive planning, organizing, leading, and controlling, “to tap international markets, where incomes are rising and demand is increasing” (Bateman & Snell, 2011, p. 4). In 1938, Hewlett and Packard began working out of Packard’s backyard shed of his Palo Alto home in California...

Theory and Practice of Organizational Learning

...Theory and Practice of Organizational Learning Teresa Friskney Strayer University   Theory and Practice of Organizational Learning Organizational learning explores ways to design organizations so that they carry out their function successfully, encourage people to reach their full potential, and, at the same time, help the world to be a better place. Learning organizations are organizations where people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire, where new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is set free, and where people are continually learning to see the whole together (Smith, 2001). However, there seems no clear definition of organizational learning except for the fact that it is learning, in one form or another. “Organizational learning is a flexible concept spanning a number of disciplines and perspectives so that it is now impossible to capture with a single definition” (Merriam, Caffarella, & Baumgartner, 2007, p. 43). For the purpose of this paper, the following information concerns only three characteristics of a successful learning organization. Discussion concerns systems thinking, shared vision, and team learning. In order to understand systems thinking, one must define it as a group of interacting, interrelated, and interdependent components that form a complex and unified whole. For example, a system can be a department in an organization. Each system has a purpose in a larger...

Also encryption streams can be established in the chance the data is moving internally along untrusted components such as a wan. The firewall could have also protected against brute force attacks by hiding the core machines that held the customer's transactions. It would create a wall that no one could see beyond. The only way to ensure this to work is to configure the firewall properly. When Bibliofind wanted to store their data they should have had a firewall as it's an important step in processing, log-ons, loging data, transferring data, and ensuring that the data is secure and the destination is trusted. A firewall isn't just a wall for a company like Biblio. It's a security blanket for secured, controlled, and audited tranactions. If the firewall is configured and maintained properly, it can be a very powerful tool to protect important information. 2) In short, encryption could not...

Frankenstein Bibliotherapy

...Bryan Pelkey AP Literature Mrs. Chow 27 September 2015 Alternate Biblio-therapy in Frankenstein Bibliotherapy, by definition, is the use of reading materials for help in solving personal problems. It can be very useful to those the struggle with confidence issues, and has also helped improve the lives of people living through depression. It is also a tool used in literature throughout history, and sometimes it can do more harm than good. In Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the monster ends up with a group of books that are less than beneficial. These books are Paradise Lost, Plutarch’s Lives, The Sorrows of Young Werther, and the journal of his creator. Each of these books, especially the passages he absorbed, had negative messages that could easily scar a being just brought into this world. Had he read different books that focused on loyalty, honor, and morals, he might have not had the fire of revenge in his heart. The first book read by the monster, Paradise Lost, is a poem written by John Milton. It tells the story of Satan, Adam, and Eve. It has a specific asphyxiation on Satan and the fall of man into sin. This could very easily give the monster a feeling of rebellion, as Adam and Eve rebelled against God. If he had instead just read the bible, his outlook on the story of creation would have been very different. He would have seen the sorrow that comes with rebellion, not just the thrill. There are also many good message in the bible, like “Thou shalt not kill”. ...

Lifespan is simple the different stages that humans go through as their life develop over the years. Multicontextual (life is affected by many context including family, history, and environment) 4. Multidisciplinary (scientific disciplines including psychology, biology, and education) 5. Plastic (an individual traits can be altered at any point in development) As I have stated lifespan is from the time of conception to death of a person development and growth. The perspective is in relationship to humans development is a lifelong changing experience. The theories of lifespan development can be viewed in Freud, and Piaget study on the subject.
