The BFS (bigger, faster, stronger) is a program created to increase an athlete performance by creating specific workouts that will improve strength, power, speed, agility, and flexibility. The athlete during the training period tries to break PR’s (personal records). These type of training is not for any regular person, it is an intense 4 weeks cycle in which the athlete trains 5 days per week and weight trains twice per week. The workouts are full body, movements that required the entire body to be engaged such as power cleans, dead lifts, snatches, bench press, front squats and back squats. Each plan is personalized to the athlete depending on the sport. These type of workouts are created to maximize the output work in a short period of time, so the athlete is performing a high-intensity workout that boosts strength and endurance. The effectiveness of this sport is by creating athletes with cardiovascular endurance that have endurance during a very heavy and difficult workout. The sport since its beginning has increased tremendously in worldwide popularity. The CrossFit Games is a competition held every year since 2007 that brings the best of the best CrossFit athlete competing against each other for the title “Fittest on Earth”. Crossfit is also available for any fitness level such as kids, teenage and masters. Each workout is plan by a trainer, to become certified CrossFit requires a level 1 certification course. The upcoming instructor will learn how to conduct a class, hold standards of effective technique, create high levels of intensity in the workout and be able to scale the workout for all fitness
