Bilbo's Lies In The Hobbit

A lie is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional falsehood. Lies often make one seem superior or greater than they really are, causing others to admire them. One grand example of that is found the novel “The Hobbit” by. J.R.R. Tolkien where the protagonist Bilbo, lies about how he escaped a prison without help from a ring that makes him invisible. This causes the others to believe he has a skill beyond the rest of his posse. Although his actions were wrong, I would have done the same by hiding the minor detail from all except the wise wizard Gandalf.
