As our company, Party Plates, continues to grow and expand, we must consider other viable options to improve our information systems. Our sales department’s database has basically outgrown Excel and we need to commit to switching over to Access. In the long run, we will save time by having the program filter our queries, by tracking personnel data and storing pertinent information for the sales department. In order for us to achieve greater success, we need to explore the technologies that are available to us that will enable us to improve internal communications and develop ways to streamline certain actions in the sales department.
It was originally a good idea for Party Plates to use Microsoft Excel for data storage; however, the massive amount of data the company currently produces necessitates a relational data structure like Microsoft Access. Access allows users to divide information into logical fragments, and place each piece in a separate table. This structure will make it easier to manage data, avoid trouble with data redundancy, and improve employee efficiency. Party Plates can also use Access to create data entry forms that will expedite the data entry process and reduce the risk of employees entering data in the wrong table (Microsoft, 2012).
The ways Access will benefit and improve sales improve communications and streamline work is by being able to bring up a specific search of a certain topic instead of having to search through the files that may be on hand. This will cut down the time it takes to find and gather data and apply it to generating sales. Also allows you to perform related searches to the topic on hand. This type of system will also make search results more effective due to when someone does a search they will get the same result as someone else, whereas

Overview This short paper seeks to provide the American members of the bilateral Higher Education Task Force with an opinionated analysis of the crisis in Vietnamese higher education. We begin by analyzing the magnitude of the crisis and its root causes. Next, we consider how key actors—the Vietnamese government, the Vietnamese people, and the international community—are responding to the situation. The small-scale segment is in general defined as enterprises with a loan component between BDT 300,000 and BDT 10 million (between USD 5,500 and USD 185,000). Medium companies are said to have a loan component between BDT 10 million and BDT 100 million (between USD 185,000 and USD 1.85 million).
