What I most received as information on the last weeks class was regarding WEP (Wired Equivelant Privacy) I did not think that the stock market uses this protocol. I would of thought that they would use a stronger protocol such as WPA-TPIK or WPA2. In my home router I paid a person to come in and install my router and he did not think WEP was strong enough as an “encryption” protocol. He signed me off on setting up the router to a WPA2 protocol. WiMaX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) it uses 802.16 instead of 802.11. I would like to get into this type of technology where the whole entire neighborhood is on a Wi-Fi hotspot. The best thing about WiMax has a 30 mile fixed stations and are normally less than that. If one of the of the access points goes down WiMAX technology automatically reroutes itself to the nearest “hop” or “live spot” that can reroute the data through its nodes.

This past week I realized how big of an impact wireless media has on telecommunication. I have a business of my own that I recently started and this past week I really started to market my business online and I see the rapid increase of sales. A simple post on Instagram, twitter and Facebook can really make all the difference. I realized it gives potential customers the option to view the product decide whether or not it is for them and then place there order online. I also am able to charge a customer’s credit card with an app from my iPhone and send the customer their product so we never have to interact in person if that’s what they choose. I really appreciate the advice it’s only been a week and it has really helped me tremendously. I’m eager to continue networking online and see the rapid sale increase.
