The implementation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technologies provide several benefits that will give Party Plates a competitive advantage in the custom design retail market. Employees can assist customers in any place throughout the store using wireless technologies. Tablets and other wireless devices equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities will allow employees to process transactions, check inventory levels, place custom orders, and search the internet to assist customers with design inspirations. Bluetooth technology will allow employees to use wireless headsets to communicate with one another. For example, an employee assisting customers on the floor can communicate with employees in the stock room to double check if a certain product is in stock. This results in assisting customers in a more efficient and timely manner. Thus, enhancing customer experience which leads to an increase in repeat business and referral business. This will also allow associates to assist more customers, leading to an increase in sales on the floor. Sales associates can also use Bluetooth technology when communicating with large corporate accounts to either set up new accounts or place orders for existing accounts. Bluetooth hands free technology will allow sales associates to be more efficient and effective using sales applications to place orders or set up accounts in real time. This will expedite several processes including: order placement, processing, packaging and distribution.
There are several pros to using Wi-Fi. To start with there are no wires. This allows for set up in almost any area, decreased clutter, and removes the safety hazard of tripping over wires. Wi-Fi also gives you the option to let customers use your Wi-Fi if desired. One of the few downfalls to using Wi-Fi is it can be hacked into. Also Wi-Fi is slower than a direct cable connection. Medical Marijuana Legalization

...Medical Marijuana Legalization Alexis Lucca COM/150 10/13/2013 Tameka Winston The debate over whether marijuana should be legalized has long troubled many American citizens. There are many political aspects that have to be taken into account when making a big federal decision such as this. However, long before America was even an idea, many cultures had harnessed the plant, and used it for many primitive medical procedures. Within certain states it is legal to use marijuana for medical treatments, but this is a relatively new idea in the United States. However, marijuana was not always deemed an illegal substance and because of its inherent medical value should be legalized at the federal level.         Many ancient civilizations have been unearthed and found to have used marijuana in medical practices dating all the way back to 8000 B.C. Some of the more notable civilizations who used the plant include the Egyptians who used it to treat sore eyes, the Indians who mixed marijuana and milk to create a primitive anesthetic, and the Greeks who found a way to remedy earaches with the plants properties (Webley 1). Even the Chinese emperor Shen-Nung was known to prescribe it as medicine to many people almost 5 millennia ago (Bostwick 173). Therefore, it can be argued that historically, marijuana has been a crucial influence on some modern day medical treatments.         It wasn't until 1930 when a man named Harry J. Anslinger was given the position of Director...

...The Evolution of Amazon The Evolution of Amazon Learning Team A BIS/219 April 14. 2011 David Avery Jr. The Evolution of Amazon The online company Amazon.com is revered for its creation of the first online bookstore. However, Amazon is also a pioneer in the implementation of information technology platforms that have helped it become a billion dollar global sales generator. When Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, shipped the first online book order from his garage in Seattle, Washington in 1996, the concept of shopping from home via the internet was in its infancy. By 1999, Time magazine honored Jeff Bezos with the coveted Person of the Year award for making online shopping a part of mainstream society. Amazon.com employs 14,000 employees worldwide, operates out of seven different countries, possesses four IT patents and is still at the forefront of creating and utilizing IT platforms to improve, expand and revamp the data management and e-commerce processes. Amazon .com practically invented online shopping and e- business in much the same way that Wal-Mart did in the creation of the superstore. Although brick and mortar stores like Wal-Mart and Target generated huge profits from selling consumer goods, Amazon.com introduced to the retail giants a new venue to increase those profits. When sales appeared to slip. Amazon quickly regrouped and reinvented itself as an innovator in data storage, multi level e-commerce and a leader in information technology development. Competition...
