The movie Blade Runner seems to argue for Libertarianism, or that free will does exist. At first, this doesn’t seem to be the case, but as the movie continues it becomes evident that Officer K was not limited by determinism and things that have happened previously, but instead by societal limitations. He followed the rules because he was always under the threat of being “retired,” or killed, if he stepped out of line. When he stopped caring about the rules and the consequences, he was able to do whatever he wanted to do, pointing towards the fact that he does indeed have free will.
