Akon - Sorry, blame it on me

I am going to talk about a song many of you have probably heard about. The song is called ‘Sorry, Blame it on me’ by Akon. The song is basically a musical confession/apology, where Akon admits his mistakes and apologizes for things that he have done, in his past, present and might do in the future. In the song, he sings as three people (a husband, teenager, and himself).
In the first part, he sings as the husband .He apologizes to his wife, for leaving her home alone most of the time, and for not knowing how much that hurt her, furthermore he apologizes for neglecting and disrespecting her and finally for not being there for their children.
In the second part he sings as a narcotic teenager how apologizes …show more content…

Presentation
The song starts very slow. It starts more like a poetry then a song with the classical piano music playing in the background. Which creates a thoughtful atmosphere and allows the listener to feel the sadness in the singer’s voice. Then the song starts accelerating with catchy tunes and nice beats, despite the ridiculously contradictory lyrics. Then the song keeps on accelerating and accelerating, but it does not reach a climax. Every verse starts slow and then accelerates but does not reach a climax instead it just slows down again. This makes a pattern in the song and, the more you listen to it the clearer it gets. In the song, he repeatedly says that "even though the blames is on you, I’ll take that blame from you" and numerous variations of "I’ll take the blame" or "blame it on me". With this he is trying to underline the, what happened in the club was not his fault, but he is willing to take all the blame for it. He was ones a teenager and he knows, that the girl did not mean for all of this to

What Is The Role Of Sexism In American Culture

...The song “What you Got” from 2008 by Colby O’Donis featuring Akon was on Billboard’s “The Hot 100” chart at number 14 and stayed in the top 100 for 25 weeks (“Colby O’Donis: Chart History”). In the song O’Donis sees a gold digger and calls her to “come and play with us, just don’t talk too much.” The song goes on to say that the only reason women do talk is because they want men to notice and gawk at them. Therefore women who are “cute…don’t have to say a word.” The gold digger stereotype is supported all throughout. Early in the song O’Donis quickly notices “the way [she] take advantage of every man” but still decides to pursue her, and in the end she gets the last laugh because “she off in the mall livin’ off of [him]. Lettin’ everybody know she got [him]. But now [he] feel like a fool”. This song exemplifies...

Mtv Networks, the Arabian Challenge

...Although being known as a risqué channel since its launch in 1981. MTV developed a reputation for being able to provide localized content wherever it goes. However, 2007 was a great year for a tremendous challenge. As experts affirmed, the launch of MTV Arabia in the Middle East was the biggest challenge MTV had faced since its foundation. It was a big challenge for many reasons. First, the cultural difference between the Middle East and the west is incredibly different. Second, the Arab acceptance of a western brand could be tough. Then comes the ambiguity about the success of the localization strategy. Also, the possibility of MTV Arabia to be altered by the local programming could be expected. There is a considerable number of existing Arab music channels, thus, the competition might be difficult as they have the same focus as MTV Arabia. Although those challenges, MTV Networks invaded the Arabian market and applied a business strategy that enabled it to build a solid infrastructure. This paper analyzes the challenges that MTV faced during this process and the strategy that it applied to move forward highlighting its pros and cons. We will also analyze its success and survival in the market. Launching MTV Arabia in the Arab world is the most challenging process that MTV went through. Dana El Baltalji, a special Projects Manager, Trends magazine in Dubai said: “MTV has a penchant for airing controversial material and making a mockery of convention. And of course, it’s an...

...**1*** The End. Fairytales. Yeah right! As if it's true. My mom told me I used to like reading those kind of books. But right now... wala siya sa interest ko. Ooh.. ok. I remember. Let's start my story with that phrase too. Once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away, there lived a princess who cleaned her closet. Ooopps... corny. Wala kaming kingdom, at hindi rin whatever once upon a time. It's modern day. And fairytales, don't come true in real life. Right now, the closet part was true. I'm cleaning my closet and my drawers. Crap. Crap. How about itong stuff toy na... Fine.. fine!! Mostly, crap for me... not for others. "Hey Dad, I need a ride...

...FROM THE AUTHOR OF THE BESTSELLING BIOGRAPHIES OF BENJAMIN FRANKLIN AND ALBERT EINSTEIN, THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE BIOGRAPHY OF STEVE JOBS. Based on more than forty interviews with Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, adversaries, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a riveting story of the roller-coaster life and searingly intense personality of a creative entrepreneur whose passion for perfection and ferocious drive revolutionized six industries: personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing. At a time when America is seeking ways to sustain its innovative edge, Jobs stands as the ultimate icon of inventiveness and applied imagination. He knew that the best way to create value in the twenty-first century was to connect creativity with technology. He built a company where leaps of the imagination were combined with remarkable feats of engineering. Although Jobs cooperated with this book, he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing offlimits. He encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly. And Jobs speaks candidly, sometimes brutally so, about the people he worked with and competed against. His friends, foes, and colleagues provide an unvarnished view of the passions, perfectionism, obsessions, artistry, devilry, and compulsion for control that shaped his approach to business and...
