Blanche On The Lam is a novel written by the activist Barbara Neely. Neely discloses the intellectual attributes of an African-American woman in a society filled with racism and sexism. The protagonist in this acclaimed novel is Blanche White, a domestic worker, who winds up working for a dysfunctional white family. Blanche has an observant, curious, assertive and determined personality.
