At this time, Present Danger is not being identified. The household consists of Bobbi Houben (mother), Nicholas Houben (father), Willow Houben (PGM), and Devlyn Houben (C-V 15). A report was received indicating that the paternal grandmother beats Devlyn. The paternal grandmother is emotionally and mentally abusing Devlyn. According to the report Devlyn is self-harming herself, is crying, or wants to harm herself because of the abuse.
According to Bobbi, Willow and Devlyn love each other but do not get along. Bobbi denied Devlyn being emotionally, physically, or mentally abuse by Willow. According to Bobbi, Devlyn disclosed to her that she tried to self-harm herself 2 months ago for attention but did not had any injuries only a scratch, because she had an argument with Willow and Nicholas. …show more content…
Willow, she has never discipline Devlyn, only once when she was in 6th grade; 4 years ago, Ms. Willow indicated Devlyn cannot stand her, but does not know why. Ms. Willow denied being emotionally, physically, or mentally abusive towards Devlyn. Willow denies witnessing any cuts on Devlyn or injuries.

According to Devlyn, she is not being abuse at home by anyone. Devlyn denied being emotionally, mentally, or physically abused by Willow. Devlyn denied being afraid by anyone in the home. Devlyn denied having suicidal thoughts at this time and denies feelings of harming herself. According to Devlyn the last time she felt to harm herself was when she was on 7th grade (3 years ago), because felt lonely. Devlyn indicated now that she communicated with her mother when feels to harm herself.

Unlike traditional lecture-based teaching where student participation in the classroom is minimal, the case method is an active learning method, which requires participation and involvement from the student in the classroom. For students who have been exposed only to the traditional teaching methods, this calls for a major change in their approach to learning.
