Bobby Pugh abhorred not being in control. The visit to the lab had had the desired effect. His brother's minions were effectively terrified and chastened. Their real test would be finishing the project. He would buy himself time by showcasing the portable filter and promising the toxin in a few days time. Bobby didn't relish having to make excuses but if it was done with a deft hand, he would soon have everything he desired.

The trip home was uneventful and when he'd returned to his office he placed another call to Marco. He had been suspiciously silent since he'd given him his assignment.

“Marco, I'm sure you know who this is,” he began.

“Yes, Bobby, how are you?”

“That is not the news I wanted to hear. I may have to rethink our relationship Marco. You lead me to believe you could find this woman.”

“Give me until the end of the day and I am sure that I will have something for you,” he answered confidently.

Marco wasn't easily cowed or frightened. He didn't just work for Bobby either. He was a powerful ally, and not someone he should cross. Marco knew where all of Bobby's skeletons were buried and he wasn't above selling that to the highest bidder. Theirs was an uneasy alliance. He had to accept his answer and his pace regarding this problem. Again, his control had been thwarted.

“I should hope so. Who have you got working on this?'

“Come now, Bobby,”Marco chided him. “ I can't reveal my sources! Suffice it to say I have connections in airport security in three countries and in the US and in Europe I have connections quite high up. They were given the information and told to get back to me. The intelligence community is a small one, we will find out who she is and where she is”

“I hope for your sake it's true or there will be no paycheck, Marco,” Bobby reminded
