Bonnaroo is a four-day music festival held in Manchester, Tennesse and is one of many summer music festivals held in the United States each year. Bonnaroo, which is a Creole slang word meaning "a really good time," started in 2002 and will be celebrating the festivals15th anniversary this year. Attracting new artists and growing in size each year, Bonnaroo would be considered the sixth largest city in Tennessee, and in 2008, it was named "Best Festival" by Rolling Stone magazine. The festival which is one of a kind takes place on a nine-hundred-acre farm, and since they are outside of the city limits, they are able to continue holding concerts late into the night. I’ve had the opportunity to attend Bonnaroo, and it is also one of the most organized festivals I have attended, which is why I keep going back. They do try to put things in place to help out with it, such as wells and filtration. There are many wells located throughout the venue, and they have a filtration system that the water is filtered through. Unfortunately, with the festivals large attendance, the water level goes down pretty quick and by the end of the four days the water does not have enough time to filter and it still has a little sulfur taste to it. Even though the sulfur taste is disgusting, people still use the water to fill their camelbacks up. One solution that Bonnaroo has allowed is to let people bring in their own brand new, unopened plastic water bottles. This allows people to save money and not have to buy from the many Bonnaroo vendors. Because they allow you to bring in water bottles, people just fill their backpacks up with water bottles to have throughout the day. Having this water issue may be a big deal, but they have found a solution to it that helps everyone out. This keeps the people happy and helps make them want to come back each
