SUBJECT: Website Design

The website LingCars.com should be reviewed for improper design of a website.

Design

The design of the website has a few issues that should be reconsidered or revised. Although you may feel compelled to use very vibrant colors and eye-catching imagery, there seems to be an extensive amount of clutter and clashing lines. The consistency of the page is lacking due to the variety of backgrounds, patterns, and images that lead to customer confusion. Taking a more simple approach may be an obstacle that is hard to overcome but necessary to increase sales for the company. The design of the site has many tones of language from ranging from very small and subtle to a drastic large and bold letter almost as if there was a sense of yelling.

Granted there is excitement in the company from people in the aspect of “bad press or any press, is good press” but as for the website there is too much being involved. The clutter is confusing and not conventional. Simple imagery would be ok however there are objects randomly appearing on the page like a chicken and a giant floating planet. They are visually striking but at the same time is an improper way to set up a professional and proper website. The colors could be dimmed a bit with maybe a solid color scheme that can make for easier finding tools. Often times website designs are conservative and people do not have issues with the transition from tab to tab.

Design Help

There are many options and other resources throughout the web to help you find a more simplistic outlook on website design. If you have any questions feel free to contact me about design ideas or problems.

...Christina Wright Interview Paragraphs Cynthia Frazier-Jackson is one of the coolest seniors I know. She is also one of the bluntest people I know. For example, one time when my hair was out of place, she straight up told me that I needed to fix it. She doesn’t beat around the bush and she isn’t fake, she gives it to you like it is. Cynthia is one of those people who always smiles no matter what is going on. Even when she’s mad or upset about something, she doesn’t reminisce on the past. I strive to be like her in many ways. She is like a role-model to me and a lot of other students. That is why Cynthia is one of the coolest seniors I know. Tyleesha has been like a big sister to me. She looks out for me and makes sure I’m okay. Tyleesha said she was friend because she felt like we would get along really well. Well To be honest I’m happy she looks to me as a friend and not just another freshman. I look up to her as a role model because she represents good behavior and how I should act instead of me just acting crazy. She is my friend because we ended up in a class together and she seemed really easy to get along with, so we just became friends. I feel the best piece she has ever given me was to go for guys that care about you for you. I feel that Tyleesha has made my high school experience a whole lot better. Corrie Ten Boom Research Paper

...Corrie Ten Boom was a Christian Dutch watchmaker who was a part of the underground Resistance during World War II. She hid Jews in a hiding place at her family’s house in the city of Haarlem in The Netherlands. She was very kind and tried to help everyone she could. Corrie lived through the hardships of World War II, went through pain and sickness, but still bared through. Corrie’s underground Resistance work started when a Jew came to the front door of her house asking for shelter. Corrie knew that keeping Jews in their house was a risk of safety, but she let the Jew come in anyway. Corrie, Betsie, their father, and the Jew talked over tea, and Corrie’s family decided to let the Jew stay. Over a period of time, more Jews came and stayed in the house. Some Jews would be sent to houses that were safer, but some still stayed at Corrie’s house. The Jews were given ration cards and fake identity cards by the Resistance, which covered up their real identity and allowed access to food. When hiding Jews became more dangerous, the Resistance workers decided that the Ten Boom’s house needed a hiding place for the Jews. A building designer built the hiding place in Corrie’s room behind the bookshelf....

...intolerable pain which tears you apart, like a stone heavy on the heart, but I know now that I really wasn’t. Every morning, every meal times, every evening it hurt so badly I wanted to hurt her too. I so badly need her here, to feel her love, to touch out to her. I remember bedtimes which were for stories and adventures, the touch of her gentle hugs, the smell of her softly shampooed hair, and the sparkle of her soul. She’s now my ghost, an unfelt, unspoken memory of the past. Dad was still shouting to me from the bottom of the stairs as I drifted away from my childhood memories. He was holding a letter and had a face like thunder as he crossly waved the envelope towards my outstretched hand. ‘I think it’s your Mothers writing’. Boom Boom Boom!! Sounded the fastness of my heavy heart as I gingerly took the letter from my dad and uttered not a word as I backtracked without a backwards glance to my haven. A mixture of apprehension, fear and anger crashed over me like a tidal wave crashing against my skull, how dare she contact me yet again and put me through all this pain. Slowly, Slowly I open the letter and gingerly remove it from its personal surroundings. This wasn’t the first letter and certainly wasn’t to be the last letter from my mum who was once more asking for reconciliation, forgiveness on my part and offering explanations on hers. A feeling of emptiness laid heavy as I knew that however many letters, texts I received from my mum there was absolutely nothing I could...

She also helped many Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust and when they were caught they were taken captive and imprisoned along with their whole family. The book The Hiding Place is a biography of Corrie Ten Boom. The title of the book gave me the idea it was going to be a very emotional and suspenseful book. The Hiding Place Corrie Ten Boom Analysis

...In the book The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom, the reader hears of the events that unfolded during the holocaust from the perspective of a catholic. Corrie Ten Boom takes the reader through the journey of someone who may not have fallen victim to the Germans, but definitely didn't agree with what they were doing. The Ten Boom family made the decision that they would help to hide the Jews despite this being against the law. In this case it is ok to lie in order to keep the Jews safe because they are lying for the greater good. When making a decision one must weigh the pros and cons and when it comes to Corrie's decision the good most definitely outweighed the bad. How to Sing a Song

...Use rhythm, music and singing to tune IN your students to working WITH you and tune OUT the worries and distractions of other thoughts. 30 seconds of a good backing track can engage a class far more quickly than 30 minutes of our voice and instructions. They tend over time to ‘tune out’ our voices. Music instantly engages. Rhythm, music and singing help build a collaborative ‘group’ identity – the ‘singing tribe’. Call – Response patterns that emphasise rhythm and sound. eg: 1) Warm ups – French Boom Chicka Boom – (see pdf) • Using praise praises for the whole class to chant ‘well done’ to good contributors • Get the children to take over the ‘Call’ function as soon as possible from you. You are modelling skills and empowering them to model to each other as well. Children leading others is a very powerful re-inforcer and motivator. 2) Injecting backing tracks into lessons at key points • allows you ‘pick up’ or ‘calm down’ a lesson depending upon the mood. • allows you to overlay any lyrical content that you want to highlight from your lesson. • You can use songs from Sing Up website but you can also simply use the backing tracks of some key songs Example Let’s Dance backing track from Sing Up website Suggest some lyrics to practise to this track from any work you have done today. Can you see a way in which children could be asked to suggest some simple lyrics that summarise key points of a lesson...
