Boost Juice

...Case Study: BOOST Juice While a prime reason for choosing any drink is to quench one’s thirst, it is when consumers continually demand a particular brand that marketers know they have done their job well. There are many ways in which we san slake our thirst, and large amounts of money are spent on positioning branded drinks in various categories – such as those competing in carbonated beverages, water and milk drink sectors – not to mention the sums spent on convincing us that we need to drink more of that type of drink. You might think there is very little room left to grow the market, or feel that the industry is overcrowded. After all, Australasia isn’t North America, which has almost ten times the local population. California alone has the same population as Australasia. Nevertheless, while there have been failures, juice bars targeting the health-conscious have sprung up in many different locations, particularly in shopping malls. A big player in this market, Boost Juice, was founded by Melbourne-born Janine Allis in 2000. It experienced 257% growth in 2003/04 and by then had 100 stores and a turnover of nearly $20 million. By 2007 there were 180 stores throughout Australia, with three in Chile, two in Indonesia, and one each in Kuwait, Singapore and Dubai, and turnover had risen to over $90 million. All this in seven short years! More than 150 of the stores are franchise operations. When high-profile investors such as the co-founder of Flight Centre, Geoff Harris, testify...

A buck converter with controlled PWM is proposed in this paper to achieve 1.5A and 3.8V load. This method can ensure that the output current and voltage stay within the satisfactory range. A buck converter with rectified DC voltage of 240V DC as input voltage, and output voltage of 3.8 with 1.5A output current and duty cycle of 0.016 is designed. P pice is used in designing simulation and the results of the circuit have been obtained to verify the operation and performance of the concept. The theoretical calculations are compared with the simulation results. The ripple output voltage and current obtained is relatively low as calculated of around 1%. Losses can be further controlled by adjusting the dead time and duty ratio of the circuit. Keywords— Full Wave Bridge Rectifier; Buck Converter; DCDC Converter; Smartphone Battery Charger I. 4 Ways to Boost Sale

...4 proactive and simple steps towards increasing your franchise sales: 1. Take a close look at your industry and get your facts straight. Things may not be as grim as they appear. Use this data to make strategic decisions for both short-term and sustainable activity. First, let’s look at some numbers. Our recession is a broad-based look at the overall gross domestic product. It’s not a sector-by-sector breakdown. Your area's economy can be substantially different from those across the country, or even in the next state. Even if this isn’t the case, you can certainly take proactive steps to improve your situation that others may not have the vision or motivation to do. People talk about value-based selling, or couponing. While these are great strategies and should be deployed, I strongly recommend you understand what’s happening in your market and potential or actual industry first. Don’t  believe the hype. Some industries are doing well (health care, children’s services, quick-service restaurants) while others are lagging indicators of the real economy (vacation rentals, luxury items, etc.). Is the franchise you’re looking to join on the cutting edge, middle, or back-end of consumer trends and economic reality? Timing is crucial to understanding how long you’ll need to commit resources, or what level of activity you need today vs. six months from now. After you understand this dynamic, then you can start looking at how to increase franchise sales. 2. Listen to your customers...
